Biography

Vala'drella doesn't know anything about her origins. She was found as a baby aboard a wrecked drifting starship at the edge of the S-K System in the Unknown Regions by a private Chiss traveler and his crew. She was discovered by a Rattataki slave, Kerana, who was sent to investigate whether any threat was on the ship. The woman retrieved the baby and pleaded for her not to be harmed. Her owner agreed to her decision, given the stellar services Kerana had shown to his family over the years. Both mother and adopted daughter were eventually purchased by Virt'idair'gaingou, a Chiss senator who found great satisfaction in their actions.
Vala'drella, named as such by Kerana, was allowed to receive an education, because the female politician believed that Vala could eventually become useful as a spy and messenger to send outside of Chiss borders. Vala was taught several languages as well as information about relevant topics of concern to the Chiss and especially her owner. As for Kerana, she instructed her in combat techniques, having always served as bodyguard to her different masters.
Once she reached adulthood, Vala'drella traveled outside of the Chiss border, as to accomplish different missions for her owner. She has considered many times the possibility of escaping to freedom, but has never taken the leap because she wouldn't want to risk Kerana being punished for her escape.
Vala also hopes to find back the drifting ship she was saved from when a baby. She knows the odds are unlikely but this is the only lead she has about her origins.
