| Ashar was born to the noble Nerofi House on Onderon. Their only child, she may have become a royal handmaiden; but fate decided otherwise. When she was only seven years old, her parents died and she remained with her House, educated to take over the duties as soon as she could. Learning under Lady Elenara Rohan's tutelage, she took over full duties at age 13.
Loyal to the crown, she developed a strong interest in politics on a larger scale, and got to work on several occasions with Salem Ave during her twenties, thus providing her with solid experience for off-world political experiences. Following such years, she was eventually appointed as his successor as Senator of Onderon.
Although she appreciates good manners and the art, her intelligent mind can be equally cunning and manipulative when it comes to fighting for what she believes in.
Ashar has a seven year old daughter, Alrya. The father's identity was never revealed, despite much speculation, for the Marquess was never linked to anyone in particular, despite a fair number of suitors since she took over all Marquess duties.
Among her fellow senators, Ashar has struck a friendship with Naome Ardsul, from Bortras, and they have met several times besides their political duties. During one of Naome's visits to Onderon, Ashar introduced her to King Starfallen from Albaryn during a reception at the court.
