Biography
|
| Clea Paola Modries was born and raised on Centares to a longtime family of traders. While her parents expected her to continue in this line of work, she had other plans. A formidable student, she had a heart not only for business but also humanities. Active in student associations to promote literacy in her adolescence, she did her military service for three years before attending the Keresnaya University, one of the three main higher education establishments of her home world. She majored in Rhetoric with a minor in Business, before pursuing graduate education in Philosophy and Political Sciences.
During her doctoral studies, she taught at the various local schools. Her writings and public speaking on the need for education financial accessibility was noticed and she participated to several panels for literacy and scholarship developments organized by the Alliance's Education Committee. She continued this line of work even as she taught at the Keresnaya University, eventually becoming Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Clea has a decent relationship with her family, including her parents Djoram and Atrexa and her siblings Tilura and Ikara; but she is not particularly close to them. She was married in her early twenties; but filed for divorce after a couple of years, unwilling to deal with someone clipping her wings.
