Born and raised on Centares with his younger twin siblings (Anara and Arens), Tonyh's parents were involved in the business and political scene. His father was a senator while his mother had a flourishing export company. The latter was the reason Tonyh developed a strong interest in business in his early adolescence, but the family tradition saw it otherwise. For ten Vankar generations, the first born, male or female, was to follow a military career. His father didn't have to do as such, being the middle child of his brethren, but he still made sure that his own son would respect tradition.
Tonyh joined military academy as per his family's wishes, and served in Centares' planetary forces for over a decade. He performed well, learned a lot, but in the end, being a soldier wasn't his destiny. He decided to retire and go his own way, no matter the Vankar family's ire. His years in the army taught him a lot about strategy, history, security and combat, which he is grateful for.
In his late twenties, he worked a few years for his mother's company, before she stepped down and handed VeronyTrading it over to him, for his siblings had no interest whatsoever in it. Besides the official front and commerce his business provides him with, he has also developed another activity, delving deep into the black market, thanks to contacts he made during his years with planetary forces. Indeed, he has also worked on establishing himself as a trustworthy source for weaponry and military gear in the underworld.
In his personal life, Tonyh never settled down and had very few committed relationships, though he isn't against the idea. One drastic changed that happened to him though was paternity a few years ago. One day, a one night stand he had showed up on his doorstep with a newborn little girl. Having no interest in raising the child, she left her with him, because the baby was his. Tonyh had never liked children and didn't picture himself with any, but he couldn't bring himself to give her up for adoption. So he decided to raise her himself. He deeply loves his daughter Sonya, now three year-old, but being a father is still not something easy or natural to him, though he has improved.
