Technically, Heyrina was dead prior to her birth, during a bomb attack that cost her life as well as her father's, leaving her mother Baska heartbroken. Against all odds, Baska's Sith Master, Koron Ageros eventually managed to put his hands on her remains without Baska knowing. For years, he worked on sorcery that could bring the little girl back to life, blending his Sith talents and his scientific background acquired during the first part of his life on Sillesk.
He created her in his lair somewhere on Hural II. When Heyrina was one year old, he placed her at an orphanage on Bellataine, where Baska's estranged and surviving family was, finding twisted satisfaction in the process, and wanting to keep his pawns within easy reach. When Ageros was slain by Baska Tankreyd, he took his secret with him in the tomb. Up to this day, Baska has no idea that her daughter was brought back to life.
Heyrina had many visions of her mother, but fate eventually led her to her aunt Seraphine who adopted her. Baska eventually made her way to Bellataine and found that not only her daughter had survived but also the rest of the Tankreyd family. When her health deteriorated quickly, Baska too her to Sillesk where she was provided with cutting edge medical care thanks to Admiral Bismark. Once she stabilized as a teenager, but with her exhausted mind needing to adjust, she returned to Bellataine in Seraphine's care. There she recouped for multiple months before an opportunity arose for Heyrina to be presented at the court of Onderon by King Starfallen of Albaryn to reinforce the ties between both planets, following the announcement of the Queen's pregnancy. Heyrina has been of the Royal Handmaidens since then.
