History
The Fading Sun was built during the early years of the Galactic Empire, following the end of the Clone Wars. Of the anti-starfighter subtype of the class, the Sun was deployed primarily on patrol and customs missions along some of the busier spacelanes, in systems where Separatist holdouts, pirates, and other dissident groups were causing problems for the new government.
