Leadership

The Jedi Enclave on Bespin is an aerial temple of unclear origin, believed to have been built during the Republic Dark Ages by the Brotherhood of Darkness, during their brief occupation of the planet, thus predating the construction of Cloud City.

It was discovered during the waning years of the Galactic Republic by Jedi Master Djinn Altis, the leader of a renegade faction of the Jedi Order who strayed slightly from the Order's teachings on the Force, still serving the Republic but not following the rulings of the Jedi High Council. The Altisian Jedi still followed the light side and most of the same philosophies, but with fewer restrictions and limitations, allowing Jedi to train multiple apprentices and raise families. The Altisian Jedi remained at the Enclave until the Clone Wars, but abandoned it after Order 66 was issued; because the Enclave was never known to the High Council, it was never discovered or sacked during the Jedi Purge.

The Enclave was rediscovered in 10 ABY by Inyos Aamoran, while exploring alternate philosophies on the Force. Choosing to remain on Bespin to study Altis' teachings further, Aamoran became associated with Emelie Shadowstar and the Exchange, grudgingly allowing them to make use of the Enclave as part of their morally and legally ambiguous activities.
