A volcanic eruption of catastrophic proportions shakes the main continent. Lava field and fire raining from the sky scatter herds of rancor, separate clans, and eradicate those Dathomir deems weak, leaving only the strong behind. The lands are completely scorched and covered in layers of ash. Survivors fight over resources and territory. Surface water is poisoned, very little vegetation remains, most wildlife is hostile and sickly.
Megeara in her despair over the loss of her mother - Matier - encounters The One and accepts his influence over her and the remainder of her mother's clan. (The Nightsisters become part of The Circle)
The survivors of the Burning Mists clan encounter a lone Beastwarden in the ash covered lands. Anjali Raskor is named Clan Mother by the survivors of the Lavender Rift clan.
Others, Nightsisters & Nightbrothers, and some not born from Dathomir at all are found in the aftermath. Kinzie & Khthonia Rowan, Iseult, Cearia Tserta, Daca, Lee Sin Quan, Tarjia, Kavan Siron, Spark Vallen join the survivors. Anjali Raskor becomes Clan Mother to the newly formed Undead Fires clan.
