Task Group 75

The 103rd Interdictor Squadron was a task unit formed under Line Captain Vansen Tyree, late in 2 AE. It was led by the Vindicator Cruiser Horizon, and was created for the purpose of harassing Imperial supply lines in and out of the Corporate Sector. Other ships included the Valiant and Intrepid.
In 3 AE, the unit was involved in the Liberation of Bothawui. The bulk of the Sector Fleet was lured away to an engagement with the Alliance Third Fleet at Mandal, leaving Bothawui itself with minimal protection. Tyree's Squadron was part of the initial wave that engaged the remaining Imperials, distracting them long enough for Bothan insurgents, SpecForce commandos, and Intel operatives to seize control of key defensive facilities, leaving the planet wide open to a ground assault by Alliance infantry.
In recognition of his contributions and performance, Tyree was promoted to Commodore, and his Squadron was bolstered and reorganized as a Task Group, designated Bothan Sector Group 75. Its new formation made it part of the Fifth Fleet - newly deployed to defend Bothawui - and the addition of the Rising Star significantly bolstered the fighter capacity of the Group, while new escorts like the Fearless provided much-needed support and firepower.
On a practical level, the Task Group is no longer in existance. However, three Alliance vessels - the Valiant, the Intrepid, and the Challenger - are still referenced in official documents as being part of the Group, with Tyree still listed as commander. These vessels are assigned to The Wheel - a convoy of survivors from the Jedi Purge - and the reference codes for BSG-75 remain in use with fleet logistics and quartermasters to mask some of the military resource allocation to the convoy.
