Jekaan hasn't made any appearance but watch out - chances are he might come back.
Pre-Reset
Jekaan Oluud had a long and involved history of service in the Internal Security Bureau under Armand Isard, during which he served as the voice of reason to his partner in the field, Agent Ysanne Isard. He is rumoured to have had a hand in helping her remove her own father from his position, personally arranging the traps that led to his eventual execution after being tried for treason to the Empire. Notorious for his meanness and short temper, Jekaan knew how to make himself indispensable to the new Director - his former partner, who could have just as easily had him executed as she had so skilfully done to her father. The exact reasons for his continued well-being in her shadow have always been reason for many varying rumours but there has never any concrete lead.
Director Isard saw fit to make him her personal assistant and delegated many duties to him, which had him overseeing the training and education of new field trainees and the organisation and logistics of the various Intelligence cells. In whatever spare time he had, he kept himself up-to-date on his specialist skills (cryptology and demolitions) and also enjoyed a growing reputation as a fearful interrogator.
In later years, Director Isard teamed him up with novice agent Qourr Mhawat whom he took under his protection and with whom he enjoyed a healthy daughter-father-like relationship. The two agents were in many ways similar, and their opposing skills balanced each other perfectly.
He disappeared without a trace after an unfortunate brawl on Gamorr. Rumour has it Director Isard finally seized an opportune moment to rid herself of a lose end.
Character Traits
As already mentioned, Jekaan was outwardly mean, rude and short-tempered. He also had an independent spirit, which probably served him well over the years and gave him his edge (and most likely kept him alive in Isard's shadow). Ridiculously fit in his younger years and a genius in his line of work throughout his life, he seemed to be able to effortlessly juggle all his work and private activities at the same time.
In his later years he grew somewhat milder dispositioned, and outwardly let himself go, often forgetting to appear in uniform even. His body grew rather large as he got older, and he is rumoured to have developed a drinking habit. Perhaps this cost him his sharp wits and ultimately his death (if he is indeed dead).
Out of Character
The person behind Jekaan Oluud is called Mara and she is from Germany. All the way back in 2000 she got drawn into the roleplaying world of the then ezboard SWFans after following a raging spammer called GrandAdmiralThrawn who recruited her as Imperial Intelligence Director Isard. First running Imperial Intelligence, she went on to create a plethora of characters of various affiliations, Nya Halcyon a.k.a. Delirion being her most notable character. Together with Darth Rane and Jeseth Cloak she was responsible for running the Dark Jedi group The Black Hand. Aided and abetted by Sanis Prent she developed the character of Sasseeri Reeouurra and helped lay the foundation to the Cizerack species. She left the roleplaying world in early 2002, and didn't come back until January 2008.
