The Trest Casino on Cloud City is one of Bespin's leading gambling establishments. It has a reputation for being friendly and welcoming - particularly to non-humans - and lacks much of the pretence and formality of some of Bespin's more up-market casinos. Trest prides itself on offering a broad selection of drinks, food, music, and dancers from across the galaxy - though supplying that has become increasingly difficult since the Treaty.

Trest encompasses an entire complex of restaurants, bars, spas, and floor shows. It also offers a number of private rooms for meetings and functions: including the Ecclessis Figg Room, named after Cloud City's founding father; and the Calrissian Lounge, named after a recent Baron Administrator.

History

In 1 ABY, a sabacc game took place at the Trest Casino, between the incumbent Baron Administrator Dominic Raynor, and professional gambler Lando Calrissian. The outcome resulted in Raynor losing ownership of Cloud City, and Calrissian becoming the new Baron Administrator.

Trest was acquired in 10 ABY by Ambassador Wrath of the Rath Cartel. In addition to remaining a lucrative business investment, Trest also functioned as a hub and front for Wrath's enterprises and activities in the Greater Javin. A number of renovations took place under the supervision of Ghtroc the Hutt to meet with Wrath's various requirements.

Miscellany

Ecclessis Figg Room

A private gambling chamber within the Trest casino complex. It includes a fully stocked bar, a sabacc table, and a gallery for spectators. Many of Trest's high stakes sabacc tournaments are held in the Figg Room, and often draw quite the crowd. A door opens out onto a private balcony overlooking Cloud City.

Calrissian Lounge

A quiet and comfortable bar and lounge named after Lando Calrissian: the man who won Cloud City from his corrupt predecessor in a sabacc game. The lounge includes a small stage for comedy and musical performances, and is often frequented by those winding down after a game of gambling, or awaiting reservations in one of Trest's restaurants. For the last few years there has been increased pressure from the Imperial administration of the city to rename the lounge - which they argue is commemorating a notorious Rebel terrorist - but as yet the Trest management has not acquiesced.
