The Victory III-class Star Destroyer was the successor to the Victory line of Star Destroyers. It was first created in 5 ABY, to combat the fast-growing Rebel Alliance.

Design
The shield generators on this model had been enhanced to provide a much larger power output; also, the hull plating had been thickened, allowing it to take a severe punishment before giving in.
