Suri Jaxx, and her twin sister, Serah Kleor were born on Hapes to Cereza, a Miralukan Diplomat, and Llewen Jaxx, a Tradesman. Their love for each other was forbidden by Llewen's family and for nearly seven years, he kept the secret of his twin daughters, who were both born blind because of their Miralukan genes and born with strong Force Sense. When the children were discovered by Llewen's elder brother, Feron, the two got into a fight, with Feron threatening to tell the family of his transgressions. Realizing his daughters were under threat, Llewen made plans for the girls to be taken to safe havens away from Hapes. Much to the girls' dismay, they were seperated, with Llewen taking Serah to Uyter while Cereza took Suri to Rishi. Fleeing to their perspective planets, Llewen's family called a Bounty Hunter into service to take care of the entire family. In an effort to stop the Bounty Hunter from taking his wife and children, Llewen hired a slicer to change their identities and status from 'alive' to 'deceased'. He also sent Serah to a family that could protect her, though visited as often as he could to maintain contact. This was short lived, however as the Bounty Hunter found Llewen and after Llewen tried to convince him of their deaths, the Bounty Hunter shot him in the head, telling his lifeless body 'that's for lying to me.' Searching his body, the bounty hunter found his holocomm and managed to trace Cereza and Suri to Rishi, not knowing that Serah was still on Uyter.
Upon discovering the Bounty Hunter was on to them Cereza disappeared for reasons unknown, leaving Suri abandoned and alone on Rishi. In spite of her blindness, Suri tried to search for her mother, and ended up in a forest outside the city they'd taken shelter in. It was during this search that Suri discovered the Force as a Razor cat charged at her. Using her hyper-sensitive hearing, the girl quickly located the charging cat and reached out to it, flailing a frantic hand and shouting 'Go away!' to it. Immediately afterwards, the Razor Cat stopped in its tracks and ran away from her. Scared by what had happened, Suri began to realize that she was beginning to 'see' when before, she could not. With her newly developing Force Sight, Suri was able to locate a village of young Rishii clan. Lost and unable to find her way back to where she came from, the young clan's chieftain, Ranaku, and his bondmate Ishari took the girl in on the promise that she stay at least until the young clan fledged or her own family could be located. She agreed. Her mother was never found and with no news of her sister's health, Suri assumed she was the only one left. For a time, it had made her bitter, but helping Ranaku and Ishari establish their clan helped her past her losses and despite her blindness, Suri became a great asset to Ranaku and his clan.
Seven years passed and in that time, Suri helped Ranaku's hatchlings grow and fledge. She also learned from passing Force Users that came to trade with Ranaku's people, which had, in turn, helped Suri to defend Ranaku's village. Recently, Suri has been experiencing recurring dreams, mainly of her sister and of a woman, whom, at the time, she had no known memory of. She would dream of her desire to find her sister. To hug her after so long... yet when she felt the desire to find her, the unknown woman told her to wait. She said to wait until they were ready and they would go together. Initially, Suri was angry at the thought, but over time, the girl had realized that, despite being able to look after herself now, she needed a tutor to help her unlock her full potential... so she did as the strange woman asked and waited. Months later, a threat to the village forced Suri to go searching for its source. Finding a family of Razor Cats, Suri tried to use the Force to calm the beasts, but the first time failed and Suri recieved several claw marks across her back and side as a result. After knocking down the cubs of the Razor Cat, Suri turned to use the Force to calm the Mother of the cubs, who, after two attempts, submitted and calmed down. Suri was then able to connect with it and discover where it had come from. Her use of the Force, however had attracted the attention of Lynmeira Verashy, a Jedi Knight who had spent a number of years on Rishi, searching for a disturbance in the Force that had been in the area for years. Lynmeira then noticed the bleeding wounds on Suri's body and offered to heal them for her. Suri agreed and in return, asked her what she needed out in the woods. Upon the discovery that Lynmeira needed Lidora Root, Suri decided to take Lynmeira back to the village to trade as Suri knew Ishari had what the woman sought. She introduced Lynmeira to Ranaku to allow her new friend access to the village's resources, though, at Lynmeira's bidding, they went to Suri's home so she could get washed and changed. It was then that Lynmeira confessed that she was also looking for the mysterious disturbances in the Force she'd felt over the years and believed it to be Suri. The blind girl was both curious and bemused by the term as Lynmeira offered to train Suri in the ways of the Force. After some thought, Suri decided to go for it, though she would talk with Ranaku about this turn of events.
Despite being blind, Suri has keen sense of hearing and smell to compensate for the lack of true sight. However, she also has the ability to see her environment through the Force. She also has the ability to tame beasts, quieting them and possibly controlling them to do her bidding, though she has yet to explore such potential as yet. Suri fights mostly with a staff.
Personality wise, Suri is a kind girl, though is wise beyond her years thanks to the life she's led. She doesn't say much about her disabilities as she's learned to adapt. When she's fighting, most would not realize she's actually blind because of her Force abilities.
