Rossos Atrapes is an Inquisitor of the Office of the Inquisitoriate. Nothing is known of his past to his fellow Inquisitors, among those outside a scant few know of his origins and name; and most of those who would have recognized him outside of the Citadel, the Inquisitoriate's base of operations, are dead. However, he has garnered the distinction of being considered the best Hunter of Force Adepts in the Inquisitoriate.

He was recruited as an Inquisitor at around the age of 20, 7 to 8 years before the Battle of Yavin; 11 to 12 years before the Battle of Endor, on an unnamed planet, by Inquisitor Xyrias Drakkar. After heavy questioning by the Imperial Security Bureau, and two meetings with Emperor Palpatine himself, Rossos Atrapes was inducted into the ranks of the Inquisitoriate, and trained to use a lightsabre and how to use the Force to interrogate prisoners. He demonstrated much potential in the areas of Hunting and Intelligence especially; at combat techniques he was skilled, but he preferred to manoeuvre his prey into positions where fighting was almost scripted, and used the environment as much as his own abilities to bring down opponents.

Within two years, only a few years before the Battle of Yavin itself, Inquisitor Atrapes was sent out to fulfil his duties to the Empire, and was responsible for "tagging" several Rebel Agents, as well as other elements of unrest within the Empire itself.

At some point during his travels (though before the Battle of Endor), he acquired a Dark Jedi/Sith Holocron, and from it learned several Force Techniques, such as Sith Dopplegänger, Force Illusion, Force Lightning, Force Absorb, and others to varying degrees, more or less ignoring his physical combat capabilities.

It was after this, that several ISB agents (notably those who delved into his background and history), and two or three of his colleague Inquisitors were killed or found dead over the next year; and much of the information stored on his history and such was found to be missing. Atrapes claimed that he found them to be selling Imperial secrets and produced evidence to that effect; but was to be brought in for questioning anyway. The debacle of the Battle of Endor quickly found questions of his actions being forgotten in the infighting going on between the Imperial departments and factions. Inquisitor Atrapes continued to learn from the Holocron, and continued hunting the seeming proliferation of Force Users in the two years following Endor, gaining a reputation for being a skilled Hunter/Killer and Recruiter of Force Adepts to the Inquisitioriate's banner.

Around two years after the Battle of Endor, Grand Inquisitor Karl Valten summoned Atrapes to Coruscant to fill in for Inquisitor Helghast as Administrator of the Citadel; Atrapes, in doing so, immersed himself in the intrigues of Imperial Centre, and found himself jockeying for elevating his position to High Inquisitor, to better facilitate his own designs for the Empire, and more specifically, the Inquisitoriate.
