Meredith MacKenzie

Meredith "Mac" MacKenzie was an undergraduate student studying in New York when the virus hit. Though he has no formal training, he met Kaylee Zheng and has spent the bulk of the time since working as her research assistant. With Alicia Viego - a woman he met and fell in love with after the outbreak of the virus - he had a daughter, Alex MacKenzie, who is immune to the virus. Unfortunately Alicia was killed in an accident; Mac has raised their daughter alone for the last several years.
