Profile
Physical Appearance
Tall and skinny, standing near six feet in height and appearing to be as skinny as an underfed teenager. He appears frail and weak, but this is just an illusion he as wrapped himself in. He is truly skinny and thin, but possessed vamparic strength that betrays his appearance. He can, if he so wishes, fatten his body and look more normal and proportional to his strength, but he prefers to trick the outside world into believing otherwise. He is almost always clad in black clothing, usually of older time periods. He has been seen wearing top hats, tailed-coats, and commonly walks with a cane. He has a very gentlemanly appearance to him- civilized is perhaps the better word. His skin is a tad pale, as is all vampires, and his eyes are dark and foggy, making it difficult to find the true color buried beneath. He eyes take a red hue when he feeds or delves deeply into his vamparic powers, at which his skin also turns near-white. His brown hair is usually on the shorter, more efficient side that keeps it out of his eyes while looking more or less stylish at the same time.
Personality
Quite and dark until he's warmed up to the surroundings and the people contained therein. His personality and stance emanates a secret strength and a hidden knowledge- it gives him an air of superiority that most find irritating. He has the look of suspended motion, as if he is always about to attack, or possibly flee. Although not very formidable in appearance, he does have the kind of faint smile that makes people uneasy. He prefers to work alone and does not trust any one that is not of Clan Lasombra. He is a master manipulator, skilled at lying not just through words but with his physical appearance as well. He takes on the appearance of a frail, weak man, while truly he has enough strength to punch through a wall.
History
Born in Santa Clara, California, 1902. Ezra Khaine, as a child, lived with his alcoholic mother until she died when he was ten. He then lived with his father, who turned out to be smuggling drugs across the Mexican border. Ezra led a very dark and dirty life with his father. His father was always on the run from the authorities and he dragged Ezra along with him. Ezra joined the U.S. army and went off to fight in World War I at the age of sixteen, after lying about his age and using his mature, sober face to get him in. By the time he got into the battle the war was nearly over already. He fought for nearly a year and managed to survive the war. He returned to the states and spent a lot of his time at a fort located in Georgia. When his time was finished he returned to California to find his criminal father on his death bed after taking several bullets to the chest. He died shortly after Ezra returned. Ezra took over his father's drug business, which had grown considerably since Ezra joined the military. He brought a more modern out look to the trade and soon had giant drug organization under him. Unlike his father; Ezra never did any of the drugs he grew and smuggled. He had 'labs' and 'farms' positioned all over the united states and in some other countries as well. He became quite rich. It was on March 1st, 1934, when a mysterious man showed up on his doorstep. The man filled Ezra's ear with sweet words of power, strength, and magical abilities. He was a vampire, and a Lasombra at that. The Lasombra have always had a thing for only embracing the rich, the powerful, and anything with royal blood. Ezra was embraced that very night and thrown in an open grave and buried alive to 'die'. He dug his way out of the grave with his hands and emerged as a Lasombra Vampire. The vampire disappeared shortly after embracing Ezra, but left behind it's personal Ghoul; Tzar.
Expanded History
He continues to run his underground drug ring but he also works for the Sabbat, the group his sire had served. He mostly works for Selmena Maus, a Sabbat Regent. He seduces and recruits mortals to become cattle for the Regent and the vampires under her. He also travels around the United States raising rebel sympathies for the Sabbat among clan members of the Camarilla. He had raised quite an army before a group, known only as the Silver Hand, swept in and exterminated his underlings. Aftterwards he went to Selmena Maus and asked for permission to eliminate the Silver Hand on his own terms. She denied him but he went after them anyways. He had taken it upon himself to destroy the Silver Hand, or die trying...
Additional Information
Ezra, due to unknown personal reasons, never creates or uses ghouls. He finds them disgusting and has been known to kill other vampire’s ghouls without reason or cause. The only Ghoul he has ever used and continues to use is a special, highly trained Ghoul by the name of Tzar. Tzar was Ezra's master's personal Ghoul and was left behind when his master disappeared. Ezra took the Ghoul and employed the demonic creature more as a butler then anything else.
