The son of a prospector, Castor Twinsun spent the first years of his life inside a freighter, travelling the galaxy. Whilst his mother Nanse worked, Castor and his brother Pollux - older than Castor by only a matter of minutes - were effectively raised by Nanse's brother Roland (the two of them never having met their father, or even known his name.) A former card shark who had made it big and then lost everything on a hand of Sabacc, Roland kept Nanse's ship The Queen of Air and Darkness in a decent state of repair. When he wasn't tending to the many bumps and scrapes that the freighter took, Roland Twinsun would keep his nephews out of mischief by playing cards with them, a habit which their mother didn't entirely approve of.

She originally arrived at SWFans in late 2000 under the name Vega Van-Derveld, having followed roleplayer Big Bad Naga from a Final Fantasy ezboard where they were both members. She was made a moderator of the gaming (and later roleplaying) forums, and subsequently promoted to administrator in July 2006.
