Design
History
Only a few Legacy vessels were commissioned by the Republic. They were used as Command and Control ships for operations involving many Venator-class vessels. They had more fire power but less hanger capacity. After the Clone Wars these ships were retired and put into decommissioned yards. Many were sold to private parties and to planetary defense forces. After the Emperor ordered all defense forces join the Imperial fleet many of these ships were re-commissioned and served during the early years of the empire. As newer ships developed the remaining Legacy-class vessels were scraped or sold. As with many old republic vessels a few of these found their way into rebel hands.
