He looked straight into Jake's eyes. Only Aidan's eyes didn't look entirely human anymore. They bounced back the firelight like a coyote's eyes at night, a pale blue glow where his pupils should have been. "There's a basement back past the trailer docks. All cement. It has a back entrance that opens up a block north of here. That's how we're getting out. But first..." Aidan stared up through the shimmering air at the scaffolding. "I want Julio."
