Mandan the Archer

Mandan is very ellusive about his history, for reasons that are not entirely understood. He is so reluctant to reveal details about his past in fact that he has never confessed his true surname; it is not entirely clear if "Mandan" is even his real name. Most of those he encounters call him "Archer", and he seems content to be known by that alias.
As his alias suggests, Mandan is an experienced archer; he makes use of the Air - and a passing knowledge of Fire as well - to imbue his arrows with magic, making them fly further and strike with more accuracy. While his knowledge of Fire magic is fairly typical, his Air magic is somewhat unique in that he uses music - either whistled, or played on an ornate wooden flute - in lieu of spoken spells or somantic gestures.
In instances where his archery is impractical, Mandan also carries a sword. Given his prowess, it would appear that he had military training at some point in his life.
