Counter-Terrorism
Based at the Imperial Security Bureau's Central Office on Imperial Center, the Central Tactical Unit is a self-contained task force created by the Investigations branch of the Imperial Security Bureau to operate outside of the ordinary chain of command. It combines personnel not just from Investigations but from Surveillance and Enforcement as well, allowing it to investigate crimes and provide a counter-terrorism and counter-intelligence role without the administrative complications of needing cooperation between the various ISB branches.
Because of the location of it's headquarters, the unit is sometimes referred to - unofficially - as the Coruscant Tactical Unit. This is considered inaccurate however, as it's area of operations technically encompasses anything considered to be of "special interest" to the Director of Investigations; in reality, this usually extends to the major imperial worlds located in the Core.
Members
Colonel Ethan Tahmores:
The Unit Commander of CTU, Tahmores is a former officer in the Stormtrooper Corps, where he served since the Clone Wars; prior to that, he was a volunteer in the Royal Security Forces on Naboo, and served as a Detective.
Sergeant Soren Khapst:
The Senior Field Agent with a specialism in Enforcement, he formerly served as a Gunnery Sergeant under Tahmores and as a result acts as the supervisor for the ISB Stormtroopers assigned to CTU.
Agent Vivienne Aviz:
An Investigations Field Agent who has served under Tahmores for several years.
Agent Elizabeth Jansen:
A Probationary Field Agent who recently transferred to Investigations in order to join CTU. Previously, she served as a Surveillance Agent, and has become the unit's resident specialist in forensics.
Missions
Meltdown -
Brought in as a favour to Jacob Tur'enne, a prominent District Attorney, the Central Tactical Unit travels to Corellia to investigate the mysterious disappearance of Tur'enne's son from a maximum security weapons research facility, where he was working on a top secret Imperial project.
