The Beginning of the End
CORUSCANT, JEDI TEMPLE, 26 BBE. The story begins with the assembly of all the Jedi at the Temple in Coruscant: the younglings, the padawans, the many Jedi returned from various missions, the teachers and the staff. They all convene in the great hall in order to hear some news. Some have premonitions, some are totally oblivious and innocent - and some already know what has befallen their comrades. It's the day of the Dead. The day of a hundred and seventy or more fallen Jedi. The birth hour of the war later known as the Clone Wars, where Republic will fight against Confederacy, clone soldier against droid. And where many Jedi will perish. But at this hour, they do not know the consequences yet. At this hour, it's up to the Council and the few senior Jedi at the temple to deal with the shock and surprise of this terrible gaping hole in the ranks of the Jedi - delivered by none other than who was once one of their greatest members, Count Dooku.

Spoils of War
GEONOSIS, ARENA OF POGGLE THE LESSER, 26 BBE. In the aftermath of the Battle of Geonosis, two Clone commandos, grieving for their fallen comrades, are caught up in the affairs of the Jedi. While a Jedi padawan shows them compassion and understanding, they soon find out about the other side of the coin when they encounter the dark side of a Jedi. The soldiers and the Jedi have to learn to work together, and bury their misgivings about one another, in order to survive and find the Jedi's wife. For is a Jedi not also just another man, and cannot he have the right to fear for the life of a loved one, and grieve for her loss as everyone else? And can two men so alike each other in every aspect, born and bred with single purpose into an army of millions of brothers, not have the right to grieve for their lost, too?
