Profile

Born March 30 1585 in Edo (Tokyo), Japan. In 1603. Travelled to London in the summer of 1854 and became quickly fascinated with and embroiled in the culture, literature and fashion of the times. Even amongst his own clan, Nobu is considered insufferably vain and about as deep as a puddle. While mortals become fascinated with his eccentricities and fawn over him, further indulging his vanity, kindred are not quite so patient. Toreador opinions on Takumi vary. Some dislike that he promotes the stereotype of Toreador as degenerate poseur, whilst others see him as a rather amusing way of ensuring that their clan is underestimated, politically, by its peers.

Physical Appearance

Nobu is something of an oddity to look at, given the extreme androgyny of his appearance. There are rumours that on arriving in London he posed, for some time, as a young female courtesan, soliciting Victorian gentlemen as a rather risqué means of feeding. Many would argue that in his efforts to become aesthetically perfect, he has gone too far and that his beauty is more alien than natural. While his features are distinctly Japanese, much of his appearance has become westernised, from his blonde hair to his cold blue eyes. Both a leader and follower of fashion, image is incredibly important for Nobu – perhaps more important than anything else.

Additional Information

Nobu has taken numerous childer throughout the centuries of his unlife. The first of which was a young Victorian man by the name of Gabriel Rodermark. When Nobu left England for the New World of America, he took numerous ghouls with him, some of which were later embraced. As with his first childe, however, Nobu quickly grew tired of his childer – seeing them almost as fashion accessories and thus prone to going out of style. As a consequence he has not been permitted, by any Prince, another childe since the 1950s.
