Design
The DP37 Heavy Gunship was the second in line of the few dedicated warships designs produced by Corellian Engineering Corporation. Longer than it's predecessor, the DP20 Gunship. It is as fast and carries heavier firepower. One could class this vessel more as a light frigate instead of a gunship. The DP37 did not find much market demand as the DP20 was much cheaper and fitted the same role though the DP37 replaced much of the crew with droids for maintenance and a more sophisticated targeting system that could be controlled directly from the bridge.
The DP37 was equipped with two Large Heavy Turbolaser Cannons and one large Heavy Ion Cannon on the Prow of the vessel. Sixteen Quad Laser Cannon turrets were placed on the dorsal and ventral hull for anti-fighter duty. Six heavy assault missile tubes were placed amidships three port and three starboard. A small hanger on the ventral hull can house two shuttles for boarding and transport to and from the ship.
