Biography

Early Life

"The Emuno is a bird that can not soar. Flightless, you see? Half a bird, some call it. Others can. They fly, swoop down and eat. There in the highest heights those other birds flap broad wings until the large beast of the heavens swoop down and eat them. The Emuno is there on the ground, feasting, while the other birds croak their last breaths. That, my youngling, is what weakness truly is. In time it will be your greatest strength."
Legala Baset, Jedi battlemaster lecturing to the Hawkbat clan after teasing the newcomer

Injah Bas was born in 48 BBY the only child to a military family from the Habesh clan on Emere. At age four, he was elected to begin Jedi training on Coruscant. Old for Jedi training, he was reviewed personally by the Council's Master of Jedi Mace Windu. The Master admitted Injah after a display of his talent. Master Windu and Master Yoda were the only ones whom knew of his origin on the hidden planet of Emere. Negotiated visits allowed Injah annual returns to his homeworld. Often he returned with dreams of coming wars, a white haired galactic leader and warriors in white mask. Jedi elders believed he was blessed with a sensitivity to the Unifying Force. Eventually, Injah concluded these weren't dreams but visions.

Due to his inordinate potential with the elements of Control, Injah struggled with his gaining any prowess over his capabilities. Considered inept, he excelled in all other studies: political strategy, galactic law, language and even science. Also, the other aspects of the Force came easier to him. While only introduced to the pillars of Sense and Alter, he quickly developed his abilities to push, pull, levitate objects, trick a mind, leap and even make an object combust. As a Jedi Initiate, Injah trained under Grand Master Yoda alongside other Jedi hopefuls of his age; placed in the Hawkbat clan under the tutelage of Master Ranga. Aayla Secura, Shaak Tii, Lorana Jinzler, and Sia-Lan Wezz became Injah's early loves, crushes and friends like Rann I-Kanu who was once his clan rival. His lightsaber instructor was Legala Baset and Cin Drallig

As a youngling, Injah was fascinated by machines and blasters. His ability to repair, reprogram and hack computers would serve him well in the future. He was a quick learner. Without the constant failures in Control exercises and Master Yoda's mentoring he would have become arrogant. At eight he even applied early to the Exhibition Day Tournament where other Apprentices put their skills on display in bouts. He failed horribly. However, when he left the arena in defeat, word of his dream spread among the cohort. His vision of a white haired galactic leader had come true:Finnis Valorum took office as the Chancellor of the Galactic Republic. Approached by the Jedi Order's battle-master, Legala Baset, asked Injah if she could craft his talents as her Padawan.

Together, Baset and Injah embarked on numerous missions across the galaxy and trained rigorously to tap into his control. On one notable mission, the two were sent on a diplomatic mission to Obroa-Skai for overseeing a treaty between the Representative Council and the Import Co-Op of luxury goods which funded maintenance on institutes like the Celebratus Archive & Jedi Academy. In the meeting Injah interrupted and called out one of the councilmen, asking about his lineage & ties to the corporations. The councilmen's stuttering reply led other councilmen to investigate the suspicions after a recess. The meeting revealed many of his family associates were on the Import Co-Op and the lobby would be in his favor anyway as his retirement was approaching. Asked after the mission how Injah knew, the Padawan told his Master he could hear the councilman's hearbeat jump as certain individuals walked in the room and met his eyes. Such perceptive control led Legala Baset to entrust Injah with all her teachings, even the Form VII: Juyo.

Jedi Master

Unexpectedly talented in the Force and a lightsaber, Injah Bas passed the trials early, and continued to progress through the ranks of the order as a Jedi Shadow & Investigator. Rarely found at the Temple, he roamed the Outer Rims and Wild Space uncovering secrets of the force and undoing slave revolts or violence to children. Due to his race's prolonged maturity, he exploited his youthful appearance in espionage and spy missions which overthrew wretched governments. When the Clone Wars began in the Battle of Geonosis he had gone nearly a decade without an apprentice as he accomplished numerous shadowy notable missions in the name of the Jedi Order & Galactic Republic. However, his accomplishments preceded him and he was made a Jedi Master. Alongside the likes of Aayla Secura, Quinlan Vos and other Jedi who had brushes with the dark side and toed the line for the Republic's safety, he was alerted with visions of the Republic's fall. He did not heed them. Instead, he only spoke to his fellow Jedi in private whom felt it was simply a disturbance in the Force.

These conversation led him to study the differences in the dark side and light side in ways his former Master did not explain during his time as a Padawan. Extensive time was spent in the Outer Rim investigating leads on old Sith planets and the idea of the Unifying Force or Potentium. Considered heretics by the Great Jedi Library, Injah found solace in their forbidden teachings as the Council began to speak more commonly of the influx in dark side disturbances. Although he continued to follow chain of command, he let the Force decide his movements, which sent him further and longer away from the Temple even more than before. This was especially alarming to those whom paid attention since the Clone Wars waged on and he barely participated as a General in combat.

Deployed as a shadow in the war, he survived Order 66 three years after it's beginning only because of his mission's discretion. Sent to the Outer Rim Territories to investigate the Master in the Sith Order via the InterGalactic Banking Clan, he was hid on Muunilist when he felt the ripple through the force. From Aayla to Legala, he felt as many of his closest associates, friends and loves were slaughtered. Confirmed by reports of the reformed Galactic Republic as an Empire, he went into hiding as a customer service employee in Cloud City's Port Town. There he awaited Emere's council for his approval to return. The month two hundrend thousand Fallen perished in a controlled Imperial bombardment, Injah was granted clearance to return to his homeworld. In the 12 year wait, he worked odd jobs throughout Greater Javin. He worked factories, disassembled and constructed blasters, interned as a gunsmith along asteroid belt start-up business on the Hydian Way and more. He even smuggled goods to blockaded planets. During this period he came across an Inquisitor in search of the Force-Sensitive. The two developed a romantic bond after an incident where Injah helped a force-sensitive youth get away in what appeared to be an accident. Through their three year relationship, she learned of his Jedi past. She did not report him. Not even after their break up. Ironically, she actually helped protect him on several occasions as the Galactic Empire swept his coordinates or place(s) of employment.

Since returning to Jeddesh, he has hid and advised against breaking the Emere isolation until recently when the Cold War began.

Out Of Character

Sirdi found his way to SW-Fans.Net sometime in 2005. No one knows why he came. After several attempts at conquering the boards, he was destroyed by unidentified problems in 2007 when he vanished. In the wake of his return, he has taken up the minor role as a lowly poster without a future at SW-Fans.Net, which was bestowed upon him by the Gods, and his unreliable internet connection. Few are aware of his prowess to create characters, then drop them prematurely, and those that do speak of his over-the-topness in secret, unsure where he will strike again. Idris doubles as a forum lurker on his off days when not studying the beauties of his backwater farms, and working as an Animal Planet analyst.
