Dendrik Xio was the chief assistant of Zanon O'hara and worked closely with the madman for many years. Xio had been working on a new form of plasma reactor that ran on deuterium and tritium. A glitch in the system caused the reactor to explode violently, killing all those working on the project, except for Xio, who was seriously injured and nearly killed. Zanon took his near-dead assistant and placed him in a bacta tank while he built a mechanical body to house the remains of his assistant. Xio was injected with a techno-organic virus created by Zanon that was designed to convert most of his living tissue to techno-organic tissue that would bold perfectly with the mechanical body parts. In the end, Xio's body was grafted to the mechanical pieces. The operation was a success, and Xio received new limbs, his human limbs having been removed by the explosion, and the entire outside of his body was reformed, but at the cost of turning 90% of his body into techno-organic material. He was, in all respects, a cyborg now. Xio's brain is the only non-techno-organic organ left in his body, but a computer chip was placed in it to cut off the area of his brain that controlled his memories from the rest of it, thus turning Xio into a mindless cyborg. A droid in all respects now.
The reborn Xio, now called Neo-Genesis (Which means "New Beginning"), had an armored suit grafted to his existing techno-organic flesh that, in the end, covered all of his body except his face, which was still human, but the features had completely changed when Zanon reformed them, giving a very alien appearance now. Zanon hired Arkanian scientists, which he stills uses today, to construct an arsenal of unheard of weapons for Genesis. This weapons included an energy beam sword, which could block lightsabre beams, but lacked the cutting power of a lightsabre; a rapid firing blaster pistol, which was capable of firing several powerful blaster rounds in quick succession, which sadly drained energy packs rapidly as well; and a special energy system that would be installed into Genesis's right gauntlet and be capable of a powerful discharge of energy that would explode outwards from the gauntlet. The employment of a miniature force field around the gauntlet a split second after the discharge of energy protected the hand from becoming damaged. Due to the levels of energy needed to power this weapon, the cool down time between uses is extensive. A larger force field generator was placed in the gauntlet of the left hand to act as an energy shield to block incoming blaster fire.
Due to the power needed to employ all of these built in systems, Genesis can only actively battle for a limited few hours before running completely out of power.
Genesis now acts as Zanon's bodyguard and assassin.
Pre-Reset
Neo-Genesis began as the protocol droid Cypher, who was created by Jedi Padawan Tony Maxwell to serve Tony after it's predecessor, Ragnarok, disappeared. Shortly after being created, Cypher was abandoned by Tony and left to fend for itself. It fell into disrepair as it wandered the streets of Coruscant, until it was picked up by the scientist Zanon O'hara. Zanon rebuilt the damaged droid from the ground up and turned Cypher into the combat droid Neo-Genesis
Genesis served as the guardian of Zanon's laboratory, but only saw combat when it battled against Zereth Lancer, Alexander Bane, and Luna Eclypse. In the end it was defeated and destroyed by Zereth Lancer.
Zanon never repaired the broken droid.
