Everyone in this bar has been invited because either Ecks or myself believe they are still living by the same rules that once bound us to the old Guild, or by a code of ethics that is in essence similar to that. Everyone in this bar is skilled at what they do. We are all equals. There are plenty of faults to find within the structures of the old Guild. But we're not trying to bring back the old Guild - we're trying to build a new one.
With every small-time crook calling himself hunter nowadays, this profession is getting the worst possible reputation in the eyes of those who benefit from our services most, and the bounties offered are lower and lower as a result. High bounties come with the risk of angering someone at the Inquisitoriate, and not just the Imperials shy away from having us hunted down and killed if they see an advantage.
