The Gang's Origins
Once there was a lowly little Ewok by the name of Kvettch. After a series of unprecedented circumstances he somehow found himself escaped from an Imperial medical research lab, with enhanced skills and intelligence, and the ability to speak and understand Basic. Unfortunately this meant returning to his previous life on Endor as that lowly little Ewok was singularly boring and unchallenging and a complete waste of his time.

So Kvettch found a way off-planet and by a lucky chance found himself in command of a space vessel whose captain he had to space after the fool had drunk himself to death, making Kvettch the new owner. Finding that his enhancements had also given him the skill to pilot a ship, he set out to explore the galaxy.

The Voodoo Heart in all its garish glory
Somewhere along the line, he decided that taking over ships was a fun thing to do, and probably rather lucrative, so he hired himself a Gamorrean and began his new life as a space pirate.

To make matters short, before long he'd exchanged the drunkard's old ship for something much nicer and bigger, then that for something even bigger and newer, and so on. And since big ships don't fly themselves and all those trips along the hyperlanes tends to get a bit lonely, he soon picked up random "strays" to augment his crew. Eventually they hung on to one of the nicer capital ships they found, rechristened it the Voodoo Heart and gave themselves the name Black Blood Pirates.

Pirate Adventures
Currently the Black Blood Pirates are engaged in various schemes, its members being spread out all over the galaxy in miscellaneous private quests. While the Black Bloods are a well-oiled machine when they all act together, they also tend to split up in small groups and go on all kinds of adventures of their own.

Sometimes the gang's members also hire on with other organisations, so you might literally find them anywhere.

The Gang's assets
The Ship - The Voodoo Heart
Detailed overview of the ship
The gang's ship is the Silviut Corp Vibre-Class Cruiser Voodoo Heart. It's painted a vibrant shade of magenta and has an orange bird-shaped form on the topside. While the Voodoo Heart is very much the central base of operations for the gang, most gang members also have their own private vessels which are either berthed on board the Heart or on the gang's hideout.

The Base - Camp Grenchicit
The group's hideout is located in orbit around Nar Shaddaa, and based on one of the old city structures that broke free of the planet.

For a short time this structure was turned into a kind of small recreational orbital spacestation by some enterprising merchants, but soon after the merchants fell into disfavor with the Hutt Kajidics and ended up bankrupted. After they left the place fell into such a state of disrepair that various parts fell off and it had to be evacuated. For centuries no one regarded it as anything but space junk until a member of an adventurous group of pirates - the Black Bloods - was temporarily using it as camouflage to hide in while being chased by a rival gang, and realised its potential. Soon after, the Gang took over the piece of rock and steel girders and "enhanced" the remaining core by stringing up chains of old spacecrafts to it.

The gang's various technicians and slicers worked hard to make it operational - the end result is a complex system of slave engines on the old spacecrafts being controled by one centralised master computer somewhere in the core complex, where droids are constantly monitoring and adjusting the orbit of the entire structure.

To ensure randomness and make it difficult to recognise as anything other than the ball of scrap it has been known as for centuries, the engines were left spaced unevenly apart (although some would say they were just imprecisely configured) which results in a very kooky tilt and rotation pattern. This also acts as a natural defense system for only a skilled pilot could manage to moor his ship at one of the outlying "scrapyard" docks.

But inspite of its odd structure, crazy approach system and "unknown" location, it's become a sort of space campsite to various fringe types, who nowadays get to stay at the structure for a small fee and enjoy the meager comforts of its cantina/store run by the gang's majordomo, Blarga the Hutt. The gang's members use the station in much of the same way - without needing to pay any fee, of course; the gang also keep a few of the old spacecraft off-limits to the public, and it's there that they do their planning and socialising.

The Voodoo Heart never docks there, however - for security reasons alone. A bright magenta ship of its size would be a bit too much of a give-away. Instead, the ship is usually hidden somewhere on an inhabitable small moon within the system which the group is also using as the location for hiding their loot.
