Wurrif class Light Cruisers served as direct escorts for the larger Ssi-Ruuvi Capital ships, such as the Sh'ner Carriers, Shree Battlecruisers, and Lwhekk Manufacturing Ships. They were the smallest vessels commanded by Ssi-Ruuk Senior Officers and carried a formidable array of weapons and complement of Swarm Battle Droids but like all of their ships the Wurrif's had light shields and armor ratings compared to contemporary sized vessels of the Alliance/Imperial Navies.
