Powers
Tron has the ability to merge his consciousness with electronic systems through direct physical contact. Not only can he read and program digital files with his mind, he can hack his way into secure systems and take over their functions. He must negotiate his way around security like any hacker, but the speed and flexibility of his interface gives him a distinct advantage over most countermeasures. He can also tap into wireless systems with a hand-held wireless card.
Weaknesses
Tron is physically unimpressive and is practically useless in combat situations. His utility in the field is limited to electronic support, and even then he must be monitored, as using his ability leaves him with limited awareness of his own body.
He has never yet encountered a security system he couldn't crack. However, it is theoretically possible that, if he were to overextend himself, and if the pathways between his body and the systems his consciousness occupied were cut, his mind would be trapped inside the computer architecture, and his body would be left catatonic.
Past
Jason MacIntosh was already an accomplished hacker when his mutation manifested itself. The day he learned he could interface his mind with computer systems was the happiest day of his life until he explored too freely and ran afoul of high-powered security programs seeking out the mysterious Trojan that had compromised so many sensitive systems. Since then, he has become more judicious with his hacks, but he has also developed his talents to such a degree that he may be the most powerful hacker in the world.
Able to process data at computer speeds, he consumes information at a prodigious rate and is singularly obsessed with mutant affairs. Upon learning of Saladin's fledgling Brotherhood, Jason sought out the powerful mutant to join his cause. Having assumed his hacker identity, "Tron," as his name, he has become a valuable asset to the Brotherhood both as an informant and as countermeasure against enemy security systems.
