The CC-9600 Heavy Frigate is the largest in the CC series built by the Corellian Engineering Corporation. The CC-9600 was designed with pure combat in mind. Its weapons and shields are more formidable than most vessels in its class, and was faster than most equivalent vessels at both sublight and hyperspace speeds.
The CC-9600 is adapted for atmospheric flight, with various control surfaces built into the hull. This allows the ship to make use of its ample passenger capacity and serve as a ground assault vessel and troop transport as part of a ground campaign.
