Born shortly after the First World War, Marshall Godfrey went on to serve in the British Army during the Second World War. It was on the battlefield in Germany that his mutant ability first manifested; that ability saw him become part of Special Wing, a special task force involved with Operation Pelius.
During the War he met Aster Ouranova, a Russian woman he later married. They lived together in Russia until the 1960s, when Marshall became involved with the Brotherhood of Mutants under the alias Kizin.
Second World War
|
Though originally a family of farmers, the Godfreys came into wealth during the industrial revolution. By the time Marshall was born, the family's social standing was enough to afford him an impressive education, which culminated with his attendance of Cambridge University to read law. A graduate by the time the Second World War broke out, Marshall joined the Royal Air Force, and became a pilot with Fighter Command.
By that time, Marshall was unaware of his ability. It wasn't until he was shot down over Germany that he discovered what he was capable of: despite a high speed impact with the ground, Marshall walked away without injury. His story was unusual enough to attract the attention of Special Wing, who believed that Marshall was perfectly suited for participation in Operation Pelius.
Marshall was not the only Godfrey to see service with Special Wing however; Wayland Godfrey, his weakling of a brother had also manifested a mutant ability. Marshall relished the opportunity to ridicule his smaller brother, though the two did eventually manage to form a successful - if reluctant - working partnership.
During the War, Marshall met Aster Ouranova, a woman with whom his brother was engaged. As both an elder brother and a pilot however, Marshall decided that Wayland did not deserve nice things, and eventually seduced her away from him. After Special Wing disbanded in 1947, Marshall retired from the RAF and moved with her to Russia, where the two started a family.

Cold War
|
A father to four sons - two of them twins - Marshall lived a somewhat sheltered life in Russia, having trouble integrating with a culture and language that he did not always understand. It was this discomfort with his life that ultimately led to Marshall becoming a mutant activist, and later terrorist.
Marshall began to work with Hurucan, who indoctrinated him into the idea that mutants were superior, and deserved to become a respected and revered ruling class. Hurucan - himself named for a Mayan god of storms - suggested that Marshall call himself Kizin, after the Mayan god of war and the underworld.
Kizin's mutant activities saw him involved in actions all over Europe; and in particular back home in Britain. This saw him occasionally come into conflict with Operation Damocles, a military effort being commanded by his brother.
No records exist for Marshall Godfrey or Kizin after 1969.

Powers / Abilities
|
Unstoppable - Whenever Marshall Godfrey moves, his body generates an invisible energy wave in front of it. The faster he moves - the more momentum he has - the stronger that field becomes. When in motion, the field deflects objects and obstacles that come into his path without sapping any of his momentum. He is able to run through walls or charge into a hail of bullets without injury; he is also able to move incredibly heavy objects, though sometimes needs a run-up.
The energy field only manifests in the direction of travel however; it offers limited protection against impacts from the side, and no protection from behind.
