The targetting and navigation systems were upgraded, and the weapons systems completely overhaulled: the twin laser cannons were replaced with a cluster of three emitters - twin blaster cannons, and an ion cannon. The craft was capable of delivering an ion blast or a pair of blaster bolts from each wingtip, or could discharge all three emitters in concert, simultaneously overwhelming and overloading a target's shields. Further modifications included the conversion of the ship's external cargo bay into a pressurised chamber, just large enough to store a single humanoid for short-range flights.
