The Ship's Origins
The ship's current name - Knightfall - is a reference to the infamous Operation: Knightfall, during which Darth Vader and troopers of the Galactic Republic massacred the inhabitants of the Jedi Temple. The name was chosen by Barton Henning, who - unbeknownst to his crew - was a Padawan of the Jedi Order at the time of the assault.

Detailed overview of the ship
The Dynamic-class freighter was a light freighter class used by the Republic Navy during the Mandalorian Wars. A relic of these times, the Knightfall has changed hands more times than a credit chit. Prior to being acquired by Barton Henning and his crew, it had spent decades gathering rust and dust in a junkyard on Nar Shaddaa.
