Mutants, Unite is a General Roleplaying scenario based loosely around Marvel Comics X-Men series. In an effort to make the scenario more accessible to casual fans of the X-Men franchise, it was decided that the storyline would center around non 'canon' characters - meaning that well-known figures such as Professor Xavier would not exist. In his place the members of SW-Fans placed Dr. Gregory Cullen, a leading American geneticist who founded Dr. Cullens Institute for the Gifted. Members of the scenario have the option to play one of many roles, whether they wish to be a teacher or student at the institute, a rogue mutant, or a member of the nefarious Brotherhood. The scenario focuses on both the conflict between the mutants of Dr. Cullen's institute and those of Saladin's Brotherhood, and the conflict between mutants (as a whole) and non-mutants.
In the City of Angels on the other side of the continent, Redención House is a half-way house for young mutants, run by Anna Fernandez. While she tries to keep her young charges safe and on the right side of the law, the House becomes a touchstone for gang activity despite her best efforts. Keeping a low profile may no longer be an option for any mutant.

The Story Begins...
The plot begins some years after the assassination of Dr. Cullen at the hands of an unknown attacker. His death sends shock waves through the mutant community. Some are sent into a deep mourning at the loss of such a progressive, visionary thinker; others become bitter and vengeful, their hatred only deepening the schism between human and mutant kind. Though Gregory Cullen is dead, his school continues to act as a refuge and safe house for mutants around the globe. As one of Cullen's first and finest pupils, and a longstanding instructor at the institute, Ethan Daniels assumes the role of headmaster of the school, heading up a faculty of his friends and peers. It is not long, however, before the relative peace of the school is disturbed once more. After vanishing into obscurity, following a stint as a vigilante with the extremist group Ragnarok, Hektor Vespasian returns. Once a protégé of Dr. Cullen and good friend to Ethan Daniels, Vespasian now takes a more aggressive stance on mutant-human relations. Under the pseudonym of Saladin, he has founded The Brotherhood whose goal is to spread the cause of mutant supremacy into the Western Hemisphere. The arrival of The Brotherhood shatters the fragile foundations of trust between mutant and human society. "That which they do not understand, they fear," Cullen once said.
