Since acquiring the craft, [[Vittore Montegue]] has made a number of extensive internal modifications. Much of the internal space had been converted into a drop bay to house his vintage [[BTL-B Y-Wing Starfighter]], with several of the ship's passenger cabins converted to make up for the lost space. To facilitate Captain Montegue's bounty hunting activities, an interrogation/detention room has been set up in '''Cabin 9''', and all other passenger compartments feature security locks that allow them to be turned into makeshift cells.

Originally the Iego Angel, this yacht was the personal transport of Holonet News reporter Atton Kira, until the ship was stolen from a starport on Nar Shaddaa by the Montegue brothers, and renamed the Crimson Tide.

Extensively modified, the Tide carries one auxiliary craft - the Hunter II, a vintage Y-Wing - and is crewed predominantly by droids, with the exception of Vittore Montegue and Sadie K'Vesh, for whom the Tide is their permanent residence.

History

Cockpit of the Crimson Tide
The Iego Angel was custom built for Atton Kira a few years after the Clone Wars, paid for with the remnants of his father's fortune. It was the perfect craft for a young and wealthy trust fund socialite: fast, elegant, and comfortable. When Kira began his career as a Holonet News reporter - a cover for his information broker activities - he made a number of modifications to the ship, converting it to run primarily on automated and droid-controlled systems, installing military grade holonet transceivers, and an assortment of codebreaking and intelligence-gathering hardware. He also remodelled the cockpit: two primary consoles accommodated a pilot to the right and a copilot to the left; a communications terminal and astromech socket to the rear provided access to the transceivers and nav computer; and down a short ramp to the bow, an extra console with manual (sublight) flight controls and weapons controls gave Atton the ability to fly the craft into and out of danger on his own.

Atton Kira lost ownership of the Angel while on Nar Shaddaa, when the ship was stolen by Vittore Montegue and his brother. Fortunately, Atton's insurance policy deemed the ship irrevocably lost, and so when Atton and Vittore found themselves in a working relationship some years later, Vittore had inadvertently been responsible for a sizeable windfall for Atton. Using his underworld connections, Vittore obtained new transponder codes; the Angel became the Crimson Tide, and a number of structural tweaks were made - including a new paint job - to help obscure the structural fingerprint of her old identity.

Vittore modified the ship extensively, converting the cargo hold into a drop bay in which the Hunter II - his vintage

Crew

Vittore Montegue - the Captain; a bounty hunter who specialises in exotic targets whose biology or "supernatural" abilities give them an "unfair" advantage over typical hunters.

Sleazy (CZ-41) - a business protocol droid modified for comms and slicing: particularly for manufacturing false identities and forged documents. He has been modified to mimic the voice and personality of Vittore's Uncle Roy.

Katie (R4-K8) - a Clone Wars era fighter-integrated R4 astromech, installed into the chassis of an R4 agromech. The ship's engineer and navigator, and Vittore's tech support; Katie has developed a feminine personality, but also a strong preference bias towards female sentients.

Bumblebee (221-B) - a 21-B medical droid with a broken vocabulator that duplicates words or syllables making him stutter or "bumble" when he talks.

Sadie K'Vesh - an extremely skilled slicer who Vittore rescued from Nar Shaddaa, who has (slowly) become Vittore's new hunting partner.
