Nirax Essamus is an excellent example of a turian military officer. His unit, which patrolled the border between Citadel Space and the Attican Traverse earned many accolades and had one of the lowest encounter to casualty ratio in 500 years. Nirax is by-the-book in everything but application of turian tactics and is perfectly willing to use a Human (race)|human]] or asari derived solution if it suits the situation.

Ento is a talented technophile. Hacking, VI crafting, information dealing, electronic warfare, and spectrum security are all lines on his resume. A proud free agent, he's farmed his services out to groups both within and beyond Council space, although he is careful to make sure he stays on the right side of Council law.

Pirates who encountered Nirax led patrols and units found that the application of overwhelming force wasn't precisely where they thought it was, and uses combined arms more aggressively than conventional turian doctrine.

Outside of his tactical abilities, Nirax is a stick in the mud. He is slightly distrusting of non-turian military units because of their comparative lack of discipline, but admires their flexibility and diversity, and this caries into his interpersonal relations with other species. He is not a very good diplomat and can be uncomfortable in unconventional non-military situations.

Like many other turians, Nirax is aware of his limitations and turned down an offer to be a Specter, as he felt it would do more harm than good.

Ento is a talented technophile. Hacking, VI crafting, information dealing, electronic warfare, and spectrum security are all lines on his resume. A proud free agent, he's farmed his services out to groups both within and beyond Council space, although he is careful to make sure he stays on the right side of Council law.

He gained some amount of mild infamy in turian circles by hacking through massive exploits in their military communications network. When discovered, he claimed he was contracted by a Spectre in a bid to tighten up Council information security. Perhaps as a face-saving measure or perhaps because Ento was telling the truth, the turians never pursued any action against him.

Recently, his stock has been rising with the Systems Alliance. He built ingenious VI gatekeepers which were installed in human colonies near the Perseus Veil, which confounded Geth war sorties without having to fire a shot, freeing up the Alliance Navy to actively bring the fight to the enemy rather than play defense. Though the Geth are expected to defeat the countermeasures eventually, it was breathing room the Alliance greatly appreciated, and they paid Ento well for his consultant work.

Ento is fast-talking, prone to ego-stroking and bragging, often to his detriment. While this has the effect of making him appear to be a self-important primadonna, he is careful to deflect close examination of his life and activities. One with knowledge of Salarians can take certain assumptions from this, and it's a fair bet that Ento holds far more cards than he shows. He knows this, and delights in neither confirming nor denying wild rumors, further obfuscating himself.
