Fionn Halcyon was a Corellian Jedi who had a somewhat troublesome relationship with the Jedi order as such - some said he liked to find reason to defy them, if reason wouldn't find him. He died during Operation: Knightfall at the Jedi temple. His legacy lives on in his daughter, [[Nya Halcyon|Nya]], who managed to survive the Purge.

For Jedi to marry and bear children is against the code, yet [[Fionn Halcyon]] and '''Berit Selkie''' (not unlike other Corellian Jedi) defy the code, get married and conceive a child, all without the knowledge of the Jedi Council on far Coruscant. The daughter they named Nya grew up in a close-knit community of Corellian Jedi, many of whom had a history of defying Jedi regulations. Berit's death at Geonosis turned Fionn away from the Jedi Order for a while, and he went "rogue": travelling to Geonosis, convinced that his wife had survived somehow, he was brought back from the brink of insanity (or was it the dark side?) by the good deeds of his own old Jedi master and a pair of clone soldiers.

After returning to the folds of the Jedi Order, he dutifully accepted his commission as General and went to war on the CIS. His little daughter he entrusted to the care of the Temple for the time being.

After following an odd omen, he left his daughter with friends on Corellia shortly before Order 66 was given. With other Jedi from the sector, he responded to the beacon recall sent out by the temple. He never returned from his journey to find out what was happening on Coruscant, where he was struck down mercilessly by a group of clones in disguise while penetrating the still burning ruins of the Jedi temple. 

His last deed as a Jedi, however, was implanting the need to rescue and keep his daughter safe into the '''clone commando''' who killed him. Taking up Fionn's lightsaber, the soldier struck down the rest of the clone squad and escaped. On Corellia, young Nya felt her father's passing, but her guardians - no Jedi - did not want to believe her.
