Happy Epiphany (Little Christmas) everyone!

Just a question: What is the end date that we are counting down toward? I have a countdown script on my website that I want to coincide with this countdown. I currently have the date set to May 21, 2002. According to that count, however, there are 500 days left (off by one day.) So, are we counting toward the 22nd? (I was figuring this might be the case if that is a wednesday or a friday . . . I'm just too lazy to check that out :) )

May 21 sounds way more likely than the 22nd. However, maybe the 24th is going to be the release date. In any event, it's quite possible that we've somehow missed a day. Once a date of release is actually given, we can "calibrate" our count down again. Or some un-lazy person (i.e. not me) could find out what days the 21st and 24th of may are in 2002 and then count...but that sounds like a lot of work.

I looked on my computer calander and the 22 falls on the Wed before Memorial Day which would be right if Lucas decides to release it on Memorial Day Weekend. If its the weekend before which would mean it would fall on Wed May 15 then I guess we are a week off.

I have a countdown clock on my site that is set for May 21, 2002 at 23:59:59 hours...which will be the very last second of the countdown to Episode II. My clock shows that there are currently 443 days 30 minutes exactly remaining until Episode II's release. Please do correct me if I am wrong, though. I think someone else brought that up before I think we came to the conclusion that we will wait until we know the official date before we change it but looking at the calender I think you might be right of course if it falls on that wednseday it would be the wed before Memorial Day Weekend but every site that I have read seems to be under the impression it will open that week. The reason why I am doubting it is I thought Lucas had something against opening a Star Wars movie on Memorial Day weekend because he knew it would be hard for families to see it. Of course that could have been just for EP 1 he might not have a problem for Ep2. So unless somebody has any objections I say we keep the date for now until we find out when it is actually coming out. Oh By the way 444 days to go.
