Just to separate my random thoughts ...

I enjoyed Dragon*Con a lot more than Comic-Con. I think that at CC everyone goes for the tv/movie panels so it seems way busier and more crowded than it is? Maybe? There are other programming tracks to take part in, but the selection is smaller than DC and like I said, a disproportionate amount of the attendees want to all go to the same panels.

At DC there are a ton more things to go to, and the people who attend actually spread out more to take part in all the different tracks and panels. So while DC is actually bigger than CC it is easier to get in and do the things you want to do and see.

Unfortunately it is also thousands of miles further away from me. Guess I should check out the Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle.

Net result, my power goes out, all my in-progress Tivo recordings get scrambled, and I have to leave the lighting circuits in my flat switched off until they dry out.

Did you notice what the Republicans have managed to do to the world economy, let alone with unjustified bullets and missiles in the last 10 years?

Obama is more like a moderate Republican, but he's had to deal with the worst economic circumstances that were bought about by Republican fuckups. I mean, how the ever living fuck can anyone put a tick next to a R for a generation in good faith? Isnt the smoking crater that's the USA economy a good enough reason to never vote R again?

Now I'm sure people notice I'm not exactly conservative in political views but here in NSW the local Labor (think Democrat) party turned the economy and public transport in a smoking crater as well as literally having a corrption scandal every week. Do you think I'm going to vote 1 Labor again in the next twenty years or am I going to grit my teeth and go with the as it turns out less hilariously evil Liberal (think moderate Republican) party? You do not expect a different result unless you vote differently and actually hold shitheads to account. Your country has not done this but instead voted R once again but this time even doubled down on the stupidity with the Tea Party.

If you voted for sane politicans that didnt bend over and suck copious amounts of corporate lobbyist cock or were clearly insane, maybe you would be more like Australia or Norway and never gone into a deep recession which you are clearly about to drop back into.
