Just repaired my off-road bicycle, which has been living in the shed for 15 years. Patched puncture on rear tire, removed a ton of rust (took forever), adjusted breaks, cleaned a lot of dirt and dust, oiled the chain. I'm exhausted. But now it looks like regular bicycle and fully operational.

Aug 22nd, 2011, 12:17:23 PM
... and fully operational.

I'm sensing a vision through the Force. It's of a bystander who Yog just caked in mud as he cycled by and the's kid is saying "That mudshower came from Yog's dirt bike! That thing's OPERATIONAL! Our clothes can't repell stains of that magnitude!"

And yes, many Bothans died to bring you that joke.

Yog

Yes, everything that has transpired has done so according to my design. Witness the power of this fully MUDFLAPLESS and OPERATIONAL bicycle!

*evil cackle*

Seriously though, I generally only bicycle when it's not raining. :)

Tomorrow, I will take it for a test drive (flight?). It might not look like much, but this vessel made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs!

If someone commits seppuku with a frag nade, will the person responsible for beheading them afterwards be too killed or injured by the nade to perform his duties? O_o

Crusader
Aug 29th, 2011, 07:01:08 AM
^^
Well the beheading is considered as an assist and is not necessary for the deed in general. A willstrong samurai or at least one which is capable of enduring a lot of pain would open his own belly from left to right and then pull up the blade into his own heart. Most people get as far as opening their belly and then lose all power and start crying in agony. In this case the guy with the sword assists the man from behind by beheading. Should the man that commits the sepuku not find the strength to cut himself open. The man behind him will "assist" him as well but in this case the death is not considered honorable.

So back on topic: If you blow up yourself with a grenade you should do this by yourself and you should try to blow out your intestines first. If you are too stupid to kill yourself with a grenade. Try to bleed to death in silence so that your crying does not shame your company or ask someone to behead whatever is left of yourself after the explosion.

Wait, wait. You said trucks, and they're travelling fast?

What did they do? Strap rockets to the back of them? Drop them from a crane? :|

Or are we talking like, teeny trucks? Most truck/lorry type things in this country have their engines limited to about 55 mph... so you're more likely to get stuck behind them going too slow than have to worry about them being too fast...

Well, ST Bunn is a construction company around here. There's a lot of mines around where I live, and so I always pass at least two a day on my commute to and from work. Not to mention the metric assload of cleanup they're involved with since the tornadoes.

Here's an example of one of their trucks

The USA in 2003 lost any right to respect in this regard. Yes I am a prick and a troll, but more than that I have always believed in doing the right thing and not allowing my government to murder innocent people, which it has. I believe Western governments have no right to detain, torture and kill innocent men and children. I believe no government has the right to send a missile through the window of a innocent civilian family's house and no government, no matter how morally correct, has the right to invade anohter country when there is no clear and present danger and especially when the evidence was paper thin. Or to take away the freedoms that make a democracy work.

11/9 stands not for what terrorist did, but for the terrible response. THIS is what truly troubles and saddens me, not some ragheads who got lucky and who, frankly have won. Look at what you allowed your government to do. Look at the freedoms you lost. Look at how you cant get on an aeroplane without being screwed over. Look at how broke your country is and how is viewed hardly any better than a leper. Look at, how on what is a huge tragety, an otherwise in real life quite resonable, intelligent man is openly mocking the event - all because of the actions taken later than have been far, far worse, those actions that are now so interconnected that no right thinking person should view them seperatly.

Mate, I would like to feel empathy (yes, I am no entirely an unfeeling insensitive cunt, only on Tuesdays) , but holy shit is it hard to do that when you survey the response and the number of Iraqi civilian dead. The cult of 11/9 is also to me, deeply offensive, especially what News Corp spews out, which I've been trying to escape the last week or so but cant.

In the end, there's the real truth. I'd rather just be in the garden with one of my kittens weeding, or on a racetrack burning rubber than spending another second of my time in a political party trying to make sure my government doesnt invade another counrty unjustly or treats refugees humanely or..... agggggh, I actually hate politics and would rather be having fun. But as you can see, I feel rather deeply how wrong this all is and I have been actually standing for elected office so I can do something, rather than sitting on my ass talking shit on the Interwebs.

Actually that's what I hate the most. The fact I feel I need to make a poltical stand, I *would* rather just talk shit ont he Interwebs.

Yeah, 9/11 has been used and abused to justify a lot of sideways stuff, and I'm always leery of somebody draping themselves in the event when they have an angle, but there's that, and then there is being an ass when that isn't the case.

You think you're the only person who feels a degree of ambivalence about it? Are you that arrogant?

Today's tribute and minute's silence to Achmed the Dead Terrorist was quite moving (Hilarious)

You stay classy.

Can't you STFU for one day? You're not taking a stand, you're not being different. Today, you're just being a dick.
