Isnt it ironic the ladies in question were so traumatised by their experience that they had breakfast and went to parties with him afterwards? Isnt it also ironic that there was two prosecutors unwilling to press charges and only the third with political connections did? Ironc Mr Assange went to the police openly in Sweden and was granted permission to leave without hinderance?

Oh yes, Mr Assange is not under trail, nor has he been charged. Which makes an Interpol arrest warrant unusual to say the least.

Yes, you are right, it's not ironic. I'm pretty sure irony isnt joined by a foul stentch

I have an 1881 diet coke closure on the table in front of me.

I'm not sure what's worse: the fact that I know what an 1881 closure is, or the fact that I thought it was interesting enough to mention.

>_<

For those who are curious, 1881-2010 is the project number for the new screw tops that CCE coke bottles now use. They're shorter than the older closures, have a different plastic recipe, and have more prominant and more widely spaced ribs than the older design, which makes them easier to remove if your hands or the bottle top are wet.

...and if you thought that was boring, you should meet the guy in my office whose job it is to coordinate the ordering, production, and distribution of bottle tops. That really is his only job.

Don't get me wrong I can take a joke because allot of athiest hell bent on saying evolution is proven are just as full of shit as those relgious fucks who think God hates you all because there are Homosexuals in the world.

Fun vacation to Ocala this weekend, going to the Silver Springs car show. Dunno how many cars showed up, but originally there was 2,100 regs, and the park ended up being packed either way. Went on a couple of the glass bottom boat rides over the springs and river, saw the usual mix of alligators, birds, fish, and turtles.

Pony trail out to Cedar Key was fun as well, but there was a fail once we arrived, no one told the resturant managers that we were coming, so some of them only had two or three staff members on duty, when they suddenly went from empty to packed. We ended up waiting two hours for our food, but in between nice temps, a nice sea breeze, conversation, and watching the pelicans and other birds flying out around the GoM was worth the wait.

FYI, the Grouper BLT was awesome. :lol

That is incredible. Is this a bigger than usual storm for Australia, or would it pretty much be business as usual, were there not already catastrophic flooding?

Darth Turbogeek
Feb 1st, 2011, 10:47:44 PM
It's far bigger than any storm that anyone knows about ever hitting Australia. The most powerful recorded storm was Larry in 2005 which was 1/4 the size and less powerful. Tracy wiped Darwin off the map and would easily fit in the eye of Yasi - Tracy had gusts up to 300 kph. Yasi has already destroyed outright every weather station it's eye has crossed, Willis Island which got Yasi dead centre probably no longer exists, thankfully everyone was evacuated

Forcast is for a meter of rain which given the already flooded nature of the place...... I dunno, I've lost any ability to comphrend it's gotten so bad. The flooding we've seen before but this on top defies understanding.

Gusts of 295kph over an area of 160 kms.

Darth Turbogeek
Feb 2nd, 2011, 04:03:17 AM
... And Yasi has cleared it's eye, slowed down and dropped pressure

Anne Phoenix
Feb 2nd, 2011, 12:32:50 PM
Yasi has sustained winds of 155mph now, according to the latest Warning issued by the JWTC. Right on the threshold of becoming a Category 5 Cyclone. She is forecasted to make landfall within the next six hours, although a wide portion of the coast is almost certainly being affected by now.

Yasi is weakening in wind speeds but remains a large and dangerous rainmaking system. The circulation is actually expanding, and the system is still drawing moisture down from squall bands hovering over eastern New Guinea, New Britian, and the Solomon Islands.
