Nothing plus nothing is still nothing. Nothing times nothing is still nothing. Nothing minus nothing is more of nothing. Nothing devided by nothing you still get the same result of nothing.

They tell you not to dwell on the past and look to the future but to live in the moment. But what if there is nothing in the moment the math doesn't add up that there is anything in the future? If there is nothing to live for in the moment there is no future to look forward to and then all you got is the past to look back on and hope there is something anything you can hold on to.

Could there be life on Titan (http://www.universetoday.com/48806/titan/)? If so, one astrobiologist says humans probably couldn’t be in the same room with a Titanian and live to tell about it. “Hollywoodhttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/mag-glass_10x10.gif (http://www.universetoday.com/62500/life-on-titan-could-be-smelly-and-explosive/#) would have problems with these aliens (http://www.universetoday.com/39805/aliens/)” said Dr. William Bains. “Beam one onto the Starship Enterprise and it would boil and then burst into flames, and the fumes would kill everyone in range. Even a tiny whiff of its breath would smell unbelievably horrible. But I think it is all the more interesting for that reason. Wouldn’t it be sad if the most alien things we found in the galaxy (http://www.universetoday.com/30168/galaxies/) were just like us, but blue and with tails?”

At least you have an 11 hour work day. :grumble

So far, I got a grand total of zilch, though I am taking the mostly free days and getting some original fiction done when I have the chance. Most of it's pretty slow and not very audience friendly (for instance, I have two barely sketched out languages based on Greek, Spanish, Russian and Latin, and two with only rudimentary grammar rules based on Nahuatl and Irish Celtic).

When Mario gets a mushroom power-up, and grows larger or gains a life, is he... cannibalising the head of one of the Mushroom People?

Well super Mario is not really about saving the Mushroom Kingdom:

Super Mario is the sad story of a plumber that has given into drugs escaping from his lonesome life in New York into a drug nightmare. Trust me Super Mario is to Gaming what Yellow Submarine is to music: An attempt to visualice a drug trip.
Super Mario is constantly eating magic mushrooms and burns "flowers". One of his companion is a little dragon like creature but his real "Puff" the little magic dragon is Princess Peach which is always in another castle each time he thinks he is finally about to get her.

I imagine the following scenario when I read that post.

"Nah, it'll be cool," Jace thought.

He took a step towards the street corner, trying not to his worried thoughts flummox him. He'd grown so much - learned so much. This time would definitely be even better.

"Nothing to worry about. It went great last time. It will go great this time. Absolutely nothing to -"

Then the sound caught his attention. He looked up the street.

There in the driver's seat of a bus, head out the window and yelling at the top of his lungs as he drove, was Cartoon Jace.

At first, Jace couldn't quite make out what the cartoon version of himself was saying. As the bus careened closer, the sound grew in volume and finally, he realized Cartoon Jace was screaming:

"nnnnnnnnnnNNNNNNNNNEEERRRRRRRRRRVVVVVVEEEEESSSssss ssssss"

The failbus passed by him in a blink, leaving him confuzzled on the corner, trying to comprehend what had happened. About two seconds later, a pack of "mini-Cartoon Jace"s driving midget race cars tore through the same section of street, each one yelling out a high-pitched chipmunk squeal of the same thing.

Stunned into disbelief at the failbus' pack of nutty buddies, Jace slowly sat on the sidewalk. His hand went to steady his head.

"I am so fucked," he thought.

Crappy start to the week...

1) Car finally gives out (only a matter of time)
2) Laptop as an unfortunate encounter with a broken bottle in my bag that fries the monitor...

End of the week...
1) New car purchased, just have to pick it up...
2) New laptop acquired...

Not sure if I qualify the amount of money that I've spent in the past 72 hours or so a win, but it's close enough given the start of the week.

Tactful cactus by your window
Surveys the prairie of your room,
Mobile spins to its collision,
Clara puts her head between her paws.
They've opened shops down on the Westside,
Will all the cacti find a home?
But the key to the city
Is in the sun that pins the branches to the sky.
