Big threads are nice.

Whooo, the first one is at my graduation with my bestest pals. The three of us could destroy the world in two seconds flat.

And lastly, the future of the world.

I didn't know thread size was anymore of an issue than the threads being scattered around.

But anyway, I digress, here's my latest pic of me molesting my fat cat. Taken just a minute ago.

^^ She's really pretty

And cause I aint, here's some cats.

http://alliancemotorsport.org/gallery/d/32650-1/ginger.jpg

This is Ginger. He's an Australian Myst. Appears to be really dumb but is actually just has one of the best laid back attitudes of all catdom. And likes playing Fly Kitty.

http://alliancemotorsport.org/gallery/d/32653-1/IMG_7936.jpg

This is Razor. He's highly intelligent, fast, likes heat and gravity has no idea whom he is.

http://alliancemotorsport.org/gallery/d/32647-1/IMG_0598.jpg

Stig. Gotten somehow bigger. For a sense of proportion, Razor's picture was taken on the ledge behind Stig. I think Stig may actually be too big now, except how do you shrink a cat? I know I keep saying this, but pictures just dont his sheer size justice. Big cat or small panther?

Some facts about the Australian Feral, which is what Stig is :-

Australian Folklore holds that some feral cats in Australia have grown so large as to cause inexperienced observers to claim sightings of other species such as Puma etc. This folklore is however being shown to be more fact then fiction, with the recent shooting of an enormous Feline in the Gippsland area of Victoria, subsequent DNA test showed the feline to be Felis Catus[3]. Subsequent news stories of large Feral Cats being sighted is almost monthly in Australia and the evidence is very good to suggest a breading population of these enormous Felines in the south-eastern states of Victoria and New South Wales[4].

Almost life sized.

The description makes me think of Razor from the SWAT Kats.

I've been sharing far too much information for years, posting pictures, and even met quite a few internet people and it hasn't killed me yet. Though I can't say it's the safest thing to do and I don't really recommend it. You never know.. Charley seems like he might be a serial killer.

Well, the evidence appears to be pretty conclusive, have they recognized it as a new species yet? Or are they just overgrown kitties?

Would you believe the problem is that some bioligists refuse to believe that there's some sort of large feline lurking in SE Australia, despite evidence? They say it's impossible and thence the sightings, the shot animals and video recordings don't exist or are fakes.

Scientists truly are stupid about their beliefs somedays. Some things in this world are patently obvious but unless the proof is exactly what they want, it's not true. To me, it's extremely obvious an Australian big cat exists and nit just because Stig is himself oversized. And I know exactly why the biologists wont catch one - the local forests are huge and very hard to get into, let alone properly explore. There is 1,000,000 hectares of forests right next door to me that humans basically have never explored that are perfect for cats to hide and live in. 20 years ago they found a stand of trees in Wolloemi that have existed since the prehistoric times and they are pretty sure no human has ever before been in that valley before or even since.

There's probably hundreds of big ferals and no one's ever going to find them except by accident. But just because you cant see them, doesnt mean they dont exist - the moron scientists should get a dose of reality, get outside and accept there's a new apex predator in Australia and it's a starlingly huge moggy. Maybe they should be working out how what appears to be normal domesticated cats could get so big so fast.

And oddly enough, a big feral would be a good thing - they wont hunt local birds or small marsupials, they would go after other ferals like dogs and rabbits / goats. Ferals liek goats and dogs are problems and a apex predator that lives off them would be an excellent population control in places humans cant get to.

That reminds me of big foot, do you know how much unexplored forrest there is between Washington state and Canada? Big apes could easily hide there and within the massive cave networks, but scientists don't take the matter at hand seriously enough to investigate.

We should get together sometime and go find them ourselves with video cameras, I'll buy me that three thousand dollar Halo suit.

Or we could go in and kidnap a litter and sell them for lots of money!

I'm pretty sure it's not that there is no biologist that believes that certain strange and unusual species COULD exist. It is that it would be morally, socially, and academically irresponsible to speculate as much and then force that within the realm of acceptable "science." I'm sure many a biologist would give their life to find Big Foot and prove his/her existence - there is no shortage of motivation to accomplish this - but until they can prove it, you all should thank your lucky stars that science and the respectable scientists of the world haven't been reduced to such pathetic charlatanism.

Now, of course there are many - hundreds, if not thousands or millions - of species that we are not aware of. Esteemed biologists are more aware of this than any of us, and are well-practiced in extrapolation and speculation, but unless it's observable/testable, it's not science.

The crab is cooked though, right? It looks like kimbab. Loooove kimbab. The main difference is that sushi is supposed to have raw ingredients, whereas kimbab has cooked ingredients.

Dunno if I would quite put the fact of Aussie big cats in the same bucket as Big Foot - altho it's possible I guess. A very reliable witness not long ago managed to video something quite big in Loch Ness - so legendary creatures are pretty certain to exist, maybe not quite as the legends say they are, but they do have some fact behind them. The real truth of say Nessie may be just a bloody big fish and no more

, you all should thank your lucky stars that science and the respectable scientists of the world haven't been reduced to such pathetic charlatanism.

There is a difference between reasonable doubting and sheer bloody mindlessnes and adherence to dogma. Real science is about being open and being able to accept your wrong - even recklessly asking for people to prove you wrong, like Albert Einstein did. The science that makes dogma a religion is very much more like Richard Dawkins, who is a true arrogant idiot, who will not accept for a moment that there is a chance their religion is wrong and that there is more than their narrow view holds.

Even in more regognizable religions, the ability to think, find facts and above all, be open and be willing to have your faith tested and proven false is highly important. Standing on blind faith ad being adverse to fact is not what religion is all about.

Not accepting that there is some sort of big cat in Australia firmly fits into version two and is not science. It is a dogma, a 'religion' article of faith to such so called scientists. Respectible scientists are open to all possibilities and are willing to test and more importantly theorize and propose tests to prove or disprove. The theroy in this case is that a big cat exists. The proof so far is reliable witnessess. The evidence against is that there is no known bioloigcal way a cat can get that big and that it is near impossible to catch one if it exists.

But there is too much witness reports, video evidence now to longer just allow the accepted science in the case of cats to stand.

Science has always had this problem where if the facts dont fit with the dogma, then the facts are wrong. This is not sicence - dogma has NO place in science and it is well the majority of scentists woke up to this fact. The fact is there is a big cat and biology has it wrong. Deal with it science guys, your dogma is wrong.

And the third one is of my band section (some of it) at the Richmond Holiday parade this past year. I'm next to the one clown on left, with the goofy face. There's a new cat at home. A pure Siamese called Merlin.

Hopefully I can get some pictures, cause he is a beautiful cat. Bit hard to right now, because by all reports, the other three aren't exactly liking a highly boisterous, full of energy newcomer. and it's rather chaotic. Merlin's also learning some important facts :-

Razor is just as fast and this thing called gravity doesnt apply to either Merlin or Razor, thence chasies are fun

Stig is foul tempered, likes to be left alone and has a right hook that's like a cat version of a sledgehammer. And dont get in between the huge black cat that's three times your size and food.

Ginger decides when it's playtime, not Merlin.

Apart from that, it's going fairly well, apart from Merlin being just far to much energy for his own good.

Edit : Dear LORD, what the hell is that gun? Charley, why aint you got one?

Me before the start of '06 Fall semester. I liked my hair. Why did I decide to shave it all off? Now I'm only growing it back. 'nyway, this is a reference for hair ;)

http://www.roxxu.com/linkedimages/mecousin.jpg
Me and my cousin in Greece, chillin' with the family at a beautiful restaurant right on the water. They only serve what they catch that day. I love Greece. I was very unshaven the entire time.

http://www.roxxu.com/linkedimages/myrtos.jpg
Myrtos beach. It's rated #1 in Europe. Was alright, I think I've been to better. There was a smaller, more local beach that we went to (see picture below) that was nicer, in my opinion.

http://www.roxxu.com/linkedimages/cruisingboulder.jpg
First in a large series of boulders. The problem I found was pretty easy, not even worth providing a rating for (5.2 move, if that). The water was amazing. I did another, larger boulder further down that was over about 7 feet of water. Wet feet and small holds only made it more exciting. Afterwards I jumped off the top into the water.

http://www.roxxu.com/linkedimages/openingmove.jpg
A bit tougher problem. This is the opening heel hook. It's a bit tough to hold a heel hook in place without climbing shoes. From here I had to move my hands, friction smear them, then attempt to bright my leg back over and up.

This is from a sit start. That means I sat under the boulder and had to pull myself up like that. It's all that could be done since this little guy wasn't too high. Still, it was fun.

http://www.roxxu.com/linkedimages/athina.jpg
My kitty :)

http://www.roxxu.com/linkedimages/iceclimbing.jpg
This is where I learned to ice climb. There's a video of me climbing somewhere. I should get a copy. I have to say, ice climbing is amazing. Try it if you get the chance.

http://www.roxxu.com/linkedimages/boulderproblem.jpg
Okay, I went hiking with two girls I know, both climbers. We found this amazing boulder and started bouldering it. This is the problem I discovered.

Where it says "left toe" you have to smear your shoe's toe and push off while holding on to the "first hand hold" with both hands. It's a sharp inward slope, so, it's great. Then, you have to hook your heel up and onto the thin lip of the crack where it says "right heel."

As you can imagine, this isn't for people who aren't flexible.

Once you have that, well, there's the trick. We took a few attempts at it and didn't get it. Due to the slant, there's virtually no friction up top. Plus, once you start shifting your weight, you can't sustain the heel hook and your feet go free. So, we need to find another foot hold somewhere. The "second hand hold" is pretty good, but it shifts all your weight.

If you try to move quickly to the "third hand hold", well... it's not much of a hold. You actually slide off. Current thought is that it requires a full arm smear followed by a rapid heel hook with the left.

I'm not so sure.

We also just found out that bouldering at this particular location is against the park rules. That probably won't stop us. We're very cautious and practice leave no trace with our climbing.

Then it is an accurate expression. I can't explain readily enough how awful that drink was.

Best approximation would be if you took some awful non-alcoholic cider, then some corn syrup that was expired, and maybe some applesauce from an MRE. Also, whatever the crack drugs that they put into energy drinks. The worst part was burping afterwards. I almost got physically ill on the way home.

You’ve always seemed mostly sane to me and I’m not stupid, I know what’s out there and how easily weapons can be purchased. However I suppose I’m not used to seeing it in my face (or as in my face as I can call this...someone I kind of know from the internet anyway) like that. There’s no good means for gun control out there and beyond that it’s mostly a moot point anyway. The ample supply of advanced weaponry V.S. the shortage of sane people in our country is really scary. Seeing that I guess just makes me think of all the people who shouldn’t have access to weapons.

Born and bred Aussie, my friend. I lived in QLD on the Sunshine Coast all of my life, a literal 2 minutes walk from the beach. I've been in America for just over 3 months now - and I'm really feeling the strain.

Australia is, hands down, the best country in the world.

What the hell is up with this 21 year old drinking age anyway? How am I going to celebrate Australia Day if I can't get my drink on? I need a carton of Toohey's Extra Dry and a flag to wear as a cape - then the American's can get a taste of what real drinking is. XD
