Agreed. Judging American beer based on the likes of Budweiser, Miller and Coors is like judging Aussie beer based on Fosters. It's not really a fair assessment. There are a crazy number of microbrews that are excellent.

As for the drinking age of 21... yeah, it's pretty useless, considering the sheer amount of alcohol-related problems that plague the US. most of which are much worse than under-age drinking.

Yes, I do indeed have genuine minions. Who were highly annoyed about the early start, but at least it wasnt any of our fault. A truck driver at a brach office of a client thought he was a IT guy and tried to rewire that branch.

And if your thinking it ended badly, you would be right. And it was the first time in a long time I have actually yelled at someone onsite and dropped a fair bit of foul language to express my disgust. And much better, Head office of that client approved of my f-bomb laden spray and agreed to bill the branch for my time, travel time and also two other guys to rectify.

Right now I am in a server room and also over Christmas will be at for a day or two scoping out work at a very well known (in Australia) site. One of the minions does Helldesk there already.

Our target next year is for me to just be Technical Principal of the group and have 12-15 minions at least at my beck and call. Could be a pretty busy time if it comes off.
