This week I really hate the NFC East, apparently? Yeah, I'll go with that. Stupid NFC East...
Thursday, Nov 1
KC @ SD WIN - This depends on which Chargers team shows up - the bad one or the awful one.
Sunday, Nov 4
DEN WIN @ CIN - The Bengals need this game badly, but I don't see them containing Manning.
BAL WIN @ CLE - Baltimore gets a much-needed tuneup game after their bye.
ARI @ GB WIN - A good Cardinals defense is limited by a bad offense.
CHI WIN @ TEN - Came close to going with the upset here after the Bears struggled vs. Carolina.
MIA WIN @ IND - The Dolphins surprised me last week - or are the Jets really just that bad?
CAR WIN @ WAS - Obama roots for the Redskins this week...
DET WIN @ JAX - Jaguars are looking like a #1 pick contender.
BUF @ HOU WIN - If the Texans are for real, they need to easily dispose of struggling teams.
TB WIN @ OAK - Blowout? Close game? Both these teams are so volatile that I'm basically flipping a coin here.
MIN @ SEA WIN - The Seahawks' homefield advantage is unparalleled right now.
PIT WIN @ NYG - I really hope these teams play like they did last week.
DAL @ ATL WIN - If Dallas's discipline is that bad at home, how bad will it be in the Georgia Dome against one of the most complete teams in the league?
Monday, Nov 5
PHI @ NO WIN - Both teams are playing way below their talent. I'll give the edge to Drew Brees.

Tho I am not doing this this year, I will say, being home on FMLA - I get to watch more games then I normally do that makes me happy.

If it's not too late, Liam wants San Diego. In his defense, he did text message me at 8:13 eastern, I just didn't see it until now.

The Chiefs suck. I really hope they don't win another game this year. Then they can fire Piloi and Crennel and get the first pick to finally draft a QB.

Yeah I just finished watching that game and damn. That was horrible. All of those turnovers were special with the Chargers capitalizing on them

Darn it, forgot my survivor pick. Looking at the late games, I'm going to go with Seattle.

Well, so far the refs have given the Giants a 40-yard pass interference call on beautiful coverage by Keenan Lewis, a helmet-to-helmet personal foul on a legal shoulder-to-shoulder hit by Ryan Clark, and a touchdown on a play where Ahmad Bradshaw was stopped short of the goalline. The score is Steelers 7, Refs 7.
Here's hoping the officiating evens out for the rest of the game.
Add to that calling a forward pass a fumble and not calling an obvious clip on the ensuing return for a touchdown. This is a travesty.

It was a high-scoring week this time around! It helped that there were only two games that I would call upsets (Pittsburgh and Carolina), and a couple games that looked like potential upsets settled down and became about a thousand percent less interesting (see Ravens, Texans, and Falcons). Below is the tally. If anyone was wondering, yes, I counted Liam Jinn's Thursday pick.
Week 9 Tally
Dragon: 13-1
Kolrad: 12-2
jjwr: 11-3
Park Kraken: 11-3
Rutabaga: 11-3
Kyran O'Hurn: 10-4
Ryan Pode: 10-4
Liam Jinn: 9-5
Nathanial K'cansce: 8-6
Dee: 7-7 (did not pick)
Total Tally:
Rutabaga: 87-45
Ryan Pode: 85-47
Dragon: 83-49
Nathanial K'cansce: 81-51
Kyran O'Hurn: 78-54
Kolrad: 76-56
Liam Jinn: 76-56
Park Kraken: 74-58
Dee: 72-60
jjwr: 72-60
