Ok, I'm not good at reviews like cmj, and all and I'm biased due to my love of the Friday movie's, like you and Banner so I'll make it simple. It's Good, not great but well worth 10 bucks. It didn't feel like a Jason movie, but yet it had the elements of it. You could at times forget you were watching a 13th movie until jason showed up. Some cool kills, and some good humor(the asian guy and the black guy). Too much T&A but it is a 13th movie lol!! the boring parts were too long and the best scene's were too short. Good acting (sans the redneck pot guy) Jason is a bad SON OF A GUN!!!!!!!! Mears did a great job IMHO. The getting the Mask scene was too simple, but worked. The opening was a great idea, but they didn't pull it off, but it needed to be there. The ending will remind you of a 13th movie. I really need to see it again before I could make an honset review due to the fact I was too busy critiqing(sp) it. But I really can't wait to see it again. It is a revison for sure aimed to this generation.
My Top Ten Picks of 2009:
10. Ninja Assassin (Rain, Naomie Harris)
09. Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey, Jr, Jude Law)
08. Angels & Demons (Tom Hanks, Ewan McGregor)
07. Star Trek (Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Winona Ryder)
06. The Wolfman (Benecio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins)
05. The Watchmen (Patrick Wilson, Jackie Earle Haley)
04. Shutter Island (Leonardo Dicaprio, Jackie Earle Haley, SIr Ben Kingsley)
03. Public Enemies (Johnny Depp, Christian Bale)
02. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Duh)
01. Inglorious Basterds (Brad Pitt, Eli Roth)
These films are what I am OBSESSING about right now. I gaurantee at least 8 out of these 10 will be nominated for Oscars.

I'm not excited about Angels and Demons at all. I was disappointed with The DaVinci Code because it just didn't live up to the book. I know films are never as good as the books they're based on (Jaws being the exception for me, and to a lesser extent Jurassic Park - maybe Spielberg's just got it down) but I really didn't enjoy it. So rather than read the book first this time I'll wait and read it afterwards - sae the best 'til last, so to speak.
People got angry that Ron Howard's movie was too much like the book, which is kind of was! But I didn't think that was a bad thing??
The best thing about the movie though was Ian Mckellan chewing up the scenery. I guess its Ewan Mcgregor's turn in this one.
So here's the new Transformers trailer. I remembered seeing it in a lot of lists so I thought I'd share.
