So we tried this before, and maybe it was just too ambitious? Too many con choices, with too much wiggle room.

To that end, I'm proposing another go at the convention thread idea, with the exception that it's just ONE con - DragonCon. Most if not all of us have attended D*C, so the familiarity is certainly there. A fictional D*C seems a good slot-in, and we can even include little easter eggs from our own experiences as attendees.

My characters that I would want to write for a panel would be:
