Confirmed here. This has been in the pipeline for a few years now and should come as no surprise given the success of World of Warcraft but before we roll our eyes, we should take note that Legendary Pictures are behind the production of it and they've been responsible for both Chris Nolan Batman films, Superman Returns and are releasing Clash of the Titans next year. They like their big budget blockbusters and with Raimi onboard I have a sense of relief that they're taking it seriously with the intention of releasing a quality film and not a cinematic cash cow.
