Learning to Cry

...It's midnight outside Sith Empire HQ. Mara walks through a forest slowly as the wind flows through her hair. Looking down she realizes that she's wearing nothing but a long white silk nightgown and is barefoot. Stopping for a moment she begins to look around slowly then hears a noise behind a large rock. Moving closer her foot suddenly falls into a small rodent hole and she twists her ankle slightly.

"Ouch!" She falls backward and sits down, picking her foot up and taking a look at it.

"You really ought to be more careful," Mara looks up, startled as the noise behind the rock reveals itself.

"Turbogeek, what are you doing here at Sith HQ? Leave or I will call my Sith out here to execute you." Mara says as she begins to stand up. Clumsily she falls down again. Turbogeek offers his hand to her.

"Actually, Lady Mara it is you who will be executed if you are found here." Mara thinks for a moment then takes DT's hand.

"Yes, of course." Mara shakes her head slightly. DT places his hand on her waist and pulls her onto her feet slowly. Reaching behind him he plucks a flower from a vine and hands it to her. Mara smiles just slightly then takes the flower. The moment she touches it the peddles wilt and the plant dies. Mara looks back toward Turbogeek.

"What does it mean Master?"

DT looks down, then shakes his head slightly. He turns and begins to walk away. Mara tries to speak but as she takes a step forward someone comes up from behind her and covers her mouth with their hand. She is spun around quickly only to look into the face of Venom. Struggling she tries to free herself but cannot. She turns her head and looks frantically toward DT but he continues to walk away without turning back to look...

::Mara sits up from her bed quickly, nearly screaming out in freight as she looks around the room. Slowly she begins to regain her memory of the past few days. Her torture inflicted upon her by the Lounge Lizard and the rest of the Rouge Sith Order then her return to the Jedi only to find that her Master, Darth Turbogeek had left. Walking toward her mirror slowly she looks at the spot where a scar inflicted upon her by Venom had been just days ago. Breathing irregularly she puts on some clothing then tosses on a robe and packs a duffle bag. Slowly she begins to walk down the short hallway of the Jedi HQ located on Dagobah then walks out the door and toward a small path leading into the wilderness::

:: On the other side of the Galaxy....

Night on the planet. The air was fresh and smelt of blossoms as the single huge tree on the plain shook slightly as the Jedi Master climbed out onto one of the upper branchs. This place he had found, so quiet and peaceful, somewhere where he could get away from the demons that had chased him for the last years.

Even the one that had reared from a past he rather thought he had left behind, from so long ago

He was not dressed in the usual Jedi robes, but he instead had a simple jumpsuit, veritile and tough, patched from hard use. In his hands he carried a sword - not a lightsabre, but a honest, for real STEEL sword, beautifully made, but tarnished. 5 feet of cold steel, he believed it was called a 'claymore', odd name, but seemed to suit this weapon. He repositioned himself on the branch, then took out a 'wetting' stone, used apparently to clean and sharpen such weapons. The story Turbogeek had heard was that the first Jeid Knights had used weapons like these, before blasters had arrived.

The stone scraped on the blade, and a small shine began to appear. A few more strokes and it became a spot. Some more work and the lusterous shine grew and grew and after an hour of full concentration, the blade was clean. The Jedi lifted it up in front of his face, seeing his dim reflection in the blade by the light of the full moon that came through the tree leaves.

What a weapon he thought. How it must have been to see a Knight of yore, weilding a blade like this. The Jedi stood up on the branch and then using the Force, leapted off and laned on the ground, many meters before. The grassy plain stretched out, the island's weird weather making this place moonlit and dare he say it, romantic with it's soft breezes and fragrant air. About twenty meters away lay the mud hut he called home and it was raining on that. It was quite bizarre and added a subtle mood to this place where he was alone.

He stared at his reflection in the blade's surface again. A harsh man, a mouth thin and taunt, eyes bitter and weighty with all he had seen and all he had done. Not much sympathy in those eyes. None he had ever given, not for years.

Maybe it wasnt Jedi like. He didnt care. Long years of fighting had rubbed out the boy he once was, turning him into the warrior he was today. He often viewed the relationships he had seen as a weakness, never understood what it really meant.

Well, not now anyway. In the past.... He slammed that thought and wrenched his mind back into the here and now, where it belonged. He was a Jedi and that was all he could give a damn about......

--

Asllep not long later, with the rain on the roof drumming, he dreamed off bieng on a cliff face, a single red rose in his hands. Looking over the cliff, he sniffed the rose and then with sadness cast it into the sea, cutting off a part of his life he never wished to revisit

Was it the future?

No said his mind, his memories. It was your past.....

:: The Jedi Master wakes up.

By the Force, what was all that dream about? The rain still drums on the roof of the hut, the time was just past local midnight.

OOC: Tell me if this is done wrong DT.

*Lynch trudges through a jungle region wearing only a pair of dark pants carring his lightsaber. He stalks his prey even while he is stalked, it's time for him to reclaim the edge. A rustle to his right warns him of his query, the huge Yuuzhan Vong burst out of the bush his arms raised as it prepares to strike down upon the Sith, Lynch leaps back but not before getting his saber knocked from his hand and a over the hand strike against the face. The Vong creature again leaps towards the Sith who counters by rising his boot hitting it square in the face.*

*Getting to his feet he looks to the side for his weapon, in the corner of his eye he sees the Vong rise to it's feet and rushes towards the Sith. The Vong is usually faster and more powerful but it is not smarter. Dropping to the ground Lynch strikes out his leg nailing the creature in the knee dropping it to the ground, jumping forward lowering his hands he grabs the side of the Vongs head and snaps it back. Reaching up snapping down a vine he wraps it around the Vongs throat and begins to choke it with all his might but it still got plenty of strength and knocks Lynch off. Grabbing the Sith it puts him in a bear hug trying to squeeze the life out of him, Lynch grits his teeth as he pushes out his wings snapping the creatures arms off him.*

*Grabbing a sharp pointy rock Lynch turns to face the beast as it turns to face him, the faster one to survive. Lynch fakes an attack and ducks underneath the Vongs counter attack only to rise up jamming the pointy rock deep into it's jaw shoving it deep into the beasts skull into it's brain. The Vong moves in pain trying to scream until it collapses dead. Lynch looks at his opponent and smiles knowing he still is the edge. Taking out a device he scrapes up small sample of the creature and puts it in a side pocket upon his boot.*

*A few minutes later he finds his lightsaber and returns to base camp, leaning against a tree staring at the fire he looks up into the starry night thinking of the past as he slowly nods off to sleep*

::As Mara walks further into the wilderness she begins to shiver as the cool air breezes past her. Stopping for a moment she begins to look around slowly then hears a noise behind a large rock. As she walks closer a large feline like animal emerges and begins to limp toward her. Looking down she realizes that it's right foot is severely injured. Putting down her duffle back slowly and carefully she begins to walk toward the feline. Growling at her fiercely the animal swings it's left leg forward and tries to claw at Mara. The Jedi leaps backward in surprise::

"Now now... calm down. I'm not going to hurt you." Reaching out with the force Mara attempts to calm the animal. Slowly, it begins to back up. Then, to her surprise it turns it's back and leaves. She looks at it sadly for a moment then picks up her bag and continues walking toward the landing pad on the otherside of the wilderness. After a short while she reaches it and walks toward her small ship slowly. Running her fingertips along the side of it she is suddenly reminded of the person who built it. Suddenly the communicator in her duffle bag goes off. Sensing who it is she picks up the comlink and adjusts the frequency. Jedi Boricua's face appears over the screen...his mood quite evident. Before he can ask her where she is going Mara asks for Darth Turbogeek's location. Boricua hesitates for a short while then finally he speaks::

"Master Turbogeek has gone back to the old Sith Empire headquarters...the one that you built before you were driven from it by your former Apprentice."

::Mara thinks for a moment:: "Mara, don't you think about going there by--" before JB can say anything more she shuts off the transmitter and tosses it back into the wilderness. Boarding her ship she takes her seat in the pilot's chair and beings programming in the coordinates for the former hidden planet. As Mara leaves the atmosphere and makes the jump to hyperspace she smirks slightly at the thought that the Sith Empire HQ was once only a few light-years away from the Jedi HQ on Dagobah and they never even realized it. Shutting her eyes Mara clears her mind and begins to meditate.

After several hours past Mara's small ship drops from hyperspace and enters the atmosphere of the planet. Calling up a short display of life signs Mara brings her ship down on an island, south of the equator and near the tropics. Gathering her things Mara exits the ship and takes a long look around at her surroundings::

:: The Jedi Master is in the place what he calls the Kitten Playground, where a large brood of cats and kittens live. Lots of rodents live on this large island, nearly 50 km’s at it’s narrowest, so food for these playful creatures was not in short supply. Where the Jedi Master live, it was near the abandoned base of the Sith Empire, long ago a place of evil that was surrendered to the Jedi after a battle with the Sith of that Empire. The first thing the Jedi had done was to cast out the evil that had lingered here and then set up the now deserted base as a home away from the Jedi of sorts. Now, with his decision to leave the Jedi Order and strike out on his own, it now had become his permanent base.

A curious place this was. Long abandoned by intelligent life, the planet was now basically his. Not knowing what to do with a whole planet, he put into the Galactic records the claim for control he had and then left the place alone. It was mainly water anyway. Only one real land mass existed, along with thousands of islands, one day he might decide to explore them, but for now they could for now keep their secrets. All he could really say that this was a peaceful place, a place a Jedi could actually be what they were called to be.

The claymore was now the weapon he carried, strapped to his back via a sheath he had created, plus a leather strap. The sword rested comfortably on his back, the hilt poking upwards beyond his shoulders. There seemed to be no need for a lightsabre here, so the two he carried, the Athona and the standard blue one now were ina case in his mud hut that was his resting place here. A Pod racer and a fighter/transport he had repaired from a crash sat near the hut and the tree, ready for use. Somehow he doubted they would be called into play for while He was discovering the simple joy of walking through a grassy field, allowing nature to go undisturbed by his passage. Also the taste of clear spring water, the thrill of a brilliant sunrise or a spectacular sunset.

This was a place he had always hoped he would find, a place to feel at peace.

A little black kitten regarded the Jedi, turning it’s little head to appraise this strange creature it saw. The Jedi smiled, then turned away as he suddenly felt something in the Force…. An arriving ship. Strange, who would come here? And more to the point, to this island? Now with Force senses in full alertness, he slowly got up and then looking briefly up, began to jog back to the tree and hut, not far away.

When he arrived, he paused long enough to fetch Athona from the hut, again marvelling at the weather change, the hut always raining, the tree in perpetual spring twilight and sunshine. How that happened, he would love to know. He climbed the tree, knowing it was the best place to look out from. He reached out through the Force, feeling the passage of this ship as it began it’s decent, trying to work out where it could be landing.

The answer didn’t take long. The ship was going directly to the former Sith castle, not too far away. Now the Jedi was intrigued. Why would a shuttle be going there? He decided to find out.

Leaping out of the tree, he began to jog to the castle. By the time he was at it’s walls, the shuttle was in sight and true to his projection was indeed landing at the former Sith landing pad.

Well. Time for a few questions to be asked he thought. If it was a plain citizen, he would ask them to leave. If they were Jedi, they would be welcome. Sith on the other hand…… Turbogeek’s hand went to the hilt of Athona, but then he had a better idea, With a hissing sound, he drew the steel blade, the polished metal glinting ominously in the light. He moved quickly to a hidden entrance he had found and the moved through the corridors to where the landing field was, believing that by the time he had gained a hidden vantage point, the person or persons on the shuttle would be disembarking and he would have a clear view of them.

He just made it. Looking out from a culvert, he saw a ramp lower on the now landed craft and then a single hooded person walk out. Oddly, he could get no real sense of this person, so he decided to go closer.

And the closer he got, the more uncertain of the Force sense of this one he got. That was not good… it was as if they were trying to hide themselves. Okay, thought the Jedi, two can paly that game.

Using the knowledge of exploratin he had, he used a secret passage to get to the hall he thought this person was going to. A few minutes waiting and he heard cautious footsteps and he sensed a person getting closer. Using the Force to hide himself from a possible Sith, he waited until the footsteps got closer, his hands gripped the sword as each footfall got closer. He waited until he saw the cloaked figure sneak past and then with all the quietness he could muster, he moved behind the stranger. He reached out with the sword and then got close enough to press the deadly blade against the back of the neck of the stranger. He heard a mute gasp and the figure froze, obviously taken by complete surprise.

“Turn around”

The figure did so, the hood making identificarion impossible. Turbogeek pressed the blade to where he knew the nape of the neck to be.

“State your business and why your trying to hide from me. And make it quick, I didn’t appreciate being disturbed” he snarled.

The figure reached slowly to pull the hood back…..

Removing the hood completely Mara looked up at DT and squinted slightly.

"You certainly are in a bad mood," she stated as she placed her hand on the top of DT's blade and moved it away from her throat slowly.

"Mara, what are you doing h--" Stopping DT from speaking Mara placed her fingers over his lips. "Shhh...the questions can wait." Mara looked behind her toward the entrance to the former Sith Empire HQ. Taking DT by the hand she slowly walked toward the gate and punched in a series of codes.

"Have you ever been inside, Turbogeek?" The Jedi shook his head. "Well, we might as well. This used to be my home after all and I've not visited it in nearly a year."

With a whining of gears the gate whooshed open. Mara started to walk inside and looked around the area that was once her garden. Vines and weeds had grown up out of what was once beautiful rose bushes and taken over the entire area. Mara looked over everything almost sadly as she and DT walked toward the main entrance. Several weapons came online suddenly and aimed themselves at the two Jedi. DT lifted his sword in the air ready to take out one of the lasers but Mara quickly grabbed him by the wrist.

"Don't, if you destroy one they will all fire," Mara pointed toward 10 firing cannons all across the perimeter. "They won't go off unless they can identify both of us as intruders." Mara moved slowly beside the door and activated a small view-screen.

Computer scanning retina...

Code Name: Mara Jade
Rank: Sith Master/Highest ranking Sith

Access Granted.

Mara stepped away from the screen then pulled DT close to it.

Computer scanning retina...

ALERT! SUBJECT IS A JEDI THREAT
Darth Turbogeek
Jedi Master/Highest ranking Jedi
Processing data...

Mara typed in a few more series of characters then took a step back.

Jedi identified as being prisoner status. Access granted.

Slowly the shielded door started to open up. Mara took DT by the hand once more then guided him down the long hall and into the main meeting room. It was a truly magnificent place. The pillars that surrounded the room were made of solid marble and stretched up nearly 30 feet only to blend into the dome ceiling. In the very center of the dome hung a large chandelier made from crystal and decorated with rare stones. Directly below the chandelier was a table. The legs made from iron intertwined together at the center then spread out once again like branches on a tree to offer support to the glass tabletop, the edges lined with gold plating. On the East and West side walls of the room set five glass windows, each ten feet tall and four feet across in width. Mara walked around the room slowly then took a seat on top of the table and looked back toward DT.

"You never said good-bye."

*In his camp grounds by his ship Lynch sleeps soundly under the stars after the kill his mind drifting to a time long ago, a planet under siege, fire ringing from the sky that had turned many shades of red, he remembers the sound of the wounded, the stench of the dead, the crying of the damned, a sound stops him in his tracks and he turns to see a person standing in the darkness....*

*A sudden disturbance in the force snaps the Sith out of his dream like state. He stands looking up at the night sky into the depths of space trying to pinpoint the disturbance. Entering his ship, Leaving orbit Lynch uses the dark force to sense where to go. Looking at a star chart, he notices that his path is leading to a place he thought he would never visit.*

*Taking precautions of any past security that may still be active he cloaks the ship setting down upon a clearing. Looking out his viewport, he thinks to himself "Welcome to the original Sith Empire." He scans for a moment taking in the surroundings then begins matching up the info on the planet plus Sith codes used at the time for security to make his stay less hazardous.*

DAGOBAH

::The night had fall at the mistfull swamps of Dagobah. The gnarltree forest whispered a whistling sound as the wind flowed. Now and then there was the ocational growl from a giant swamp slug as it hunted for prey. Ocasionally, a thumping sound was heard as the knobby white gnarltree spider broke off from its parent tree, and fell to the ground. It would then roam the swamp hunting and feeding on nightbats that got stuck in the slicing wirewebs between adjacent gnarltrees, spun by the butcherbugs. Eventually it would take root in a clear spot to grow into a new gnarltree. The wings of a reptilian flying creature could be heard in the the distance as it searched for rodents. Apart from that, it was quiet::

::Close to the swampy waters there was a clearing with, filled with carnivorous fungi and flower-fruits on the ground. Prismatic vine-flowers reached to the ground from the top of the treeline. A nest with a family, with a family of colorful Jubba birds slept peacefully in their nest resting on the end of a branch pointing toward the center of the clearing. At day, their whistling and soothing song could be heard but not now. It was too late::

::A spiritual presence moved through the swamp. A blury image appearing as some kind of small creature could be seen moving toward the clearing. It picked up beatifull blue and white orchid that only grew on this very spot. The creature looked at the flower and brought it toward his nose, slowly inhaling the air, trying to feel the smell. He could not. He was dead. At one with the Force. All he once had was lost. There was a time when he went here every day, trying to gather his thoughts, trying to clear his mind and get some perspective on how things were. Did he really make a difference? Sometimes he wondered. Darkness flowed through the Galaxy and there was not a thing he could do about it. Had he wasted his life for nothing? Who knew. Only time would tell. Somehow, he felt responsible for all the misery the Jedi Order had experienced the last couple of months. The Force iluminated the ground as a new flower grew from the spot where he had picked it::

*A tear of sadness could be see in the corner of his eye as he stared into an emty undefined spot at the ground. "Yes, alone I am..", he said*

Learning to Cry.

DT looked over the table that used to be the headquarters of the Sith Empire. He shook his hand free from Mara’ grasp and moved over to one of the seats.

“I’d rather you didn’t do that, and so what if I didn’t say goodbye?”

“Do what?” she asked innocently

He sighed, taking a seat at the head of the table. He placed the sword on the polished wood, somehow that ancient blade seemed to be the right thing to be carrying here. “Yeah, right as if you don’t know. Now, what are you doing here?”

“I’m your Padawan. Shouldn’t I be here?”

“Mara, I may be a Jedi, but I’m no fool. You didn’t come here because of that, there is plenty of other Jedi more qualified than me to train you. And besides, I left the Jedi Order and went out alone. Don’t you think that being trained by one like me is going to make you a pariah?”

“No, not particularly. You know quite well the Jedi see you as some sort of Lord and would follow you, even now. Do you think being your Padawan would make anyone think any less of me?”

Turbogeek had to admit quietly she had a point there. “Still, I don’t understand why you come here. It’s not like anyone else is here, it’s not like there are others to learn from, it’s not like there is the facilities here. So, why did you come here and no jokes or falsehoods You know how short my temper can be”

Lady Mara smiled, herself remembering the last time she was on the receiving end of that infamous anger and notoriously short fuse. “Yes…. I remember well. The last time I found out, you threw me through a wall and caused the cleanup crew a week’s worth of work. But I was a Sith then. Surely you would not do that to a Padawan?”

She stared as the Jedi’s only answer was a thin lipped smile, more of a snarl on those lips. Lady Mara felt a chill go down her back, wondering if this was a wise idea to come here alone. After all, this was a man who was reputed to be solely without remorse, believed to be capable of anything that didn’t cross into the Dark Side. She remembered some discussion that Turbogeek would make a Sith Lord like none other, such was the rumoured cruelty and lack of compassion that really made one wonder if he was a Jedi at all. There was debate if he was a machine rather than a human. But…. But she knew better. She had seen glimpses of something else, something deeper and secret that the Jedi Master did not voluntarily show. No-one really knew of his past before he was Jedi, maybe there was something that made him this way…?

She took a breath, shaking away the thought, coming back to the present and focusing on Turbogeek, who was looking at her with that expressionless face he usually wore.

“Off in the clouds again Lady Mara? How do you expect to become a Jedi if your mind does not stay on the here and now? Remember, your focus detirms your reality.”

“Yes…. Yes Master”

He leaned back. “Good. Now, are you going to tell me the real reason you came here?”

“No… not yet. I don’t believe the time is right.”

“Fair enough.”

The Jedi lasped into silence, turning to look out the window.

*Moving through the terran of plants he wonders what has brought him to this planet long since abandoned by the old guard of Sith. Making his way through he reaches a cliff, taking out a hi-tech device he scans the distance to which the force seems to be leading him here. Yet why? Perhaps other Sith were here, could it be? Others lured here by the past Sith involvement on the planet, the planet itself might have been a beacon drawing the Sith here in the first place...after the others had left did more arrive only to find the ruins of the past?*

*Holding out his arms he gently leans forward until he falls off the cliff, falling down, down ever faster and further until he rises his wings catching the air current sending him back into the sky. If not for the fact his mind was filled with so many things of darkness he might find soaring through the skies enjoyable if not peaceful but such thoughts do not occur to him now only what must be done in the name of the darkside.*

*Far off he sees a huge structure, deciding best if any Sith are there they might not take well to anyone simply flying in he lands to the ground then breaks off in a sprint. It'll be a great event for his fellow Sith group if there are indeed more Sith, nearing the former base of the Sith Empire he slows his pace realizing something is not right. The building looks dark yet...eminating from it he can almost sense..light?!*

*How could this be?! Who would ever come here that was not of the darkside? Such a thing couldn't be right yet he knew it was. Only question was who was foolhardy enough to come here. Whomever it was would pay a huge price the Sith vowed, he'd rip the flesh from their faces and mount their skulls upon the gates as a warning to whomever else made the mistake of coming here.*

*Using a small device the gates swing open, entering the garden that has overgrown due to lack of care the security system scans the intruder*

A few days later...

Mara wakes in the night and begins walking down a long corridor. At the end she sees a dim light...she begins to walk toward it. As she looks down slowly at her bare feet she notices that she is walking in puddles of cold water. Placing her hand on the side of the walks she feels the cold smooth brick on either side as she runs her fingertips across them. At long last she reaches the end of the hallway. Looking down she picks up the light. It is circular shaped and quite warm. As she looks into the center it suddenly becomes unbearably bright, she closes her eyes to avoid hurting them. Slowly, her eyes adjust to the light, she begins to open them.

She is now standing in the middle of a bright white room. The table, curtains, bed and chairs are all the same bright white color. As she begins to walk around the room slowly she notices an open window that leads out onto a balcony. She turns, then walks outside and looks down below her at the ocean. Suddenly, the doors behind her slam shut. Everything begins to shake and the balcony under Mara's feet suddenly gives way and Mara begins falling rapidly toward the rocks below...

"AAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIEEEEEEE!!!!"

Mara wakes up in a cold sweat and jumps out of her bed. Still badly shaken up she tosses her cloak around her shoulders and walks out into the hallway of the old Sith HQ. She begins to walk down the stairs slowly then exits the fortress and makes her way out into the massive gardens. As the cold breeze swirls around her she shuts her eyes then looks up toward the starlit sky. She continues to walk slowly but after a short while senses something sinister and stops dead in her tracks as she ignites her lightsabre.

From the place I had been watching the Jedi and his apprentice, I move forward. My armour, black as space helps me blend into the undergrowth as I move with unnatural grace for someone so huge as I am. I see movement. I sense someone, someone close.

I sense it is the Padawan. I feel it coming closer until I feel the presence so close... I see her. With some surprise I recongnise that it is Lady Mara Jade and I stare with a burning hate for this Sith who betrayed the Dark Side. My rage builds. How can one like this walk freely? How can I allow one like this to live?

Moving carefully, I stepo ut behind her, planning to follow. Instead, I step on a twig and it snaps, she spins around and I can see she has her sabre lit. I swear quietly, this is not what I wanted.

Stepping up to my full 8.5 foot height, I shake my hands loose of my cloak. My ees behind the visor of my helmet study this Lady Mara Jade. She motions forward with her sabre, forcing me back

"What do you want Venom" she says. I hear fear in her voice, yes, but I also hear detirmination

"I came here for you Mara. I have come to take you back to the Dark Side"

I wait her answer, all the while beginning to plan what to do next

:: The Jedi Master looked over the new training droid he had designed, one that would help with the physical fighting aspects of Mara's training. He had decided he himself was going to try the droid out. Putting on his training padding, he soiccered the controller into the air, catching it and then pointing the device at the droid, switched it on. The droid jerked, then powered up, coming into a open defensive stance, electronic senses beginning to probe around, electroic brain beginning to compute an attack.

The Jedi snapped into a backstance, one arm forward, the other in position to stike. He began to move slowly, keeping his eight on his toes for maximum balance and reaction time...

The droid struck, powering a punch at his head. The Jedi bent backwards and then seeming ly stumbled away, enticing the droid in a followup strike. The Jedi swayed again and a looing cresent kick knocked the droid backwards. The Jedi swayed and stumbled, his movements unpredictable but fluid. The droid's processors tried to work out and predicte where the Jedi would be next, but usually it would be wrong and sometimes would get tripped, kicked or punched for it's trouble. It was the art of Drunken Master, the martial arts that honed flexibility, movement and balance all the while the practicioner looked drunk, weaved and walked as if they we not in control of themselves.

The bout continued, the droid beginning to learn what was going on and in some ways imitating the Jedi's motion.. It finally poredicted where the Jedi was going and a metal fist shot out....

... and a metal head went spinning off and hit a wall as the Jedi suddenly snapped upright and executed a huge back kick to the droid's jaw, smashing the head clean off. He stayed in attack positon until the droid dropped to the ground and the Jedi breathed out, allowing the tension to be expelled, his whole body relaxing and his focus shifting from his opponent to the whole room and also himself. Sweat bathed his body as he moved over and picked up a drink bottle, consuming the energy fluid. He breathed out, feeling tireed muscles begin to come back to likfe, a few aches and a few bruises on his arms and one on his leg from blocked attacks.

I'll have to repair that droid later he thought.

Changing into the regular Jedi cloak, he clipped his lightsabre - not the Athona, but an ordinary blue one to his belt, he also picked up the Claymore, spinning it in his hands as he looked at the shiney blade. Twisting in the air a few times, the blade whistled through the air. Food, I need some food he thought and then also picking up the archaic blade Athona, he moved out of the training room and switched off the light at the door.

The Athona shone in the darkness that followed.

The Jedi loked in puzzlement, seeing the ancient lightsabe was actually glowing. How...?

~ This is a special blade... it will glow when evil is near...~

Turbogeek quiclky began to search the area with the Force, he saw nothing, but yet Athona still glowed. He put the claymore into a steath that he had made, tied to his back and called out.

"Mara? Are you about"

Nothing.

The Force was beginning to warn him of danger

"Mara?"

Nothing again. Damn it where the hell was she?

"MARA!!!!"

His danger sense began to flare and the Athona glowed even fiercer. Ginog into full alert he slowly began to walk down the corridors, the ancient lightsabre giving off enough light to see. He decided to head for the gardens out side.

He made it outsie, all the while his danger sense screaming something was wrong. Calming himself, reaching out fo rthe Forc, The Jedi Master looked about, heard a sound from above. He saw a winged being coming in to land and then through a gap in the trees he saw two figures, one female, the other an utterly huge black armoured figure, easily 3 feet taller than the female, he could tell was Lady Mara.

The armoured figure's Force sense was pure evil and somehow.... familiar. Not careing he began to rush to Mara's side, almost making it before he was coathangered by a wing. Crashing to the ground he slid to a stop as his atacker came into view

Jedah Lynch? With wings?

That must mean....

He wasnt given time to go further as Jedah Lynch attacked.

*Soaring forward Lynch brings his elbow deep into DT's throat knocking him backwards to the ground*

That means dear Geek that it's time for all good things to end.

*Flashing a smile he ignites one lightsaber slicing it against Darth Turbogeeks left shoulder. The Jedi grabs his wound as blood seeps between his fingers, Lynch moves in bringing his fist to DT's jaw then elbows him in the chest*

Your lost alittle of your skill old Jedi.

*His wings spreading out Lynch begins to lift off the ground his powerful wings keeping him airborne slightly*

The DT I knew and heard of would never have let himself go as you have. Your edge has become dulled, your skills dilluted over time due to conflicts not of the battlefield...now I wonder....what would your wife have said to see a Jedi once so powerful lose himself so very much? Lose almost his identity? Your fault or their fault I wonder?

*DT's mouth almost drops at the mention of his wife the swipe of Lynchs arm across his face and the warm blood pouring from his lip and nose brings him back to reality only to receive a kick to the stomach as Lynch flys down knocking the Jedi into a tree. Grabbing DT by the hair Lynch pulls him up then drives his fist into the Jedis stomach and tosses him to the ground only for DT to roll and recover as soon as he hits. Lynch moves to intercept the Jedi who springs forward at the sith, Lynch seeing the Jedi meaning buisness brings his lightsaber up to block, the sabers meet a crackle of energy behind them.*

*Using his momentum DT pushes the Sith back then channeling the force, force pushes Lynch backwards lifting him off his feet sending him through the air. Lynch lands on his back tumbling slightly, coming to a stop he quickly looks up regaining his lightsaber seeing the Jedi shaken yet determined begin to rush towards Lady Mara Jades position over concern for his padwan fighting a monster like Venom*

Not this time..never again.

*Focusing on his rage he brings the darkness within him then focuses it upon the Jedi striking him in the back with darkforce lightning. DT falls to his knees as wave after wave of the darkforce courses through him searing his skin burning his clothing on his back the smell of burnt cloth and flesh flairs DT's nostrils. Trying to stand the Jedi feels wind upon him and the sound of flapping turning over he sees Lynch hovering near him his wings keeping him afloat with his lightsaber held into the air ready to strike down the Jedi Master once and for all.*

All good things end....and sometimes it deserves to end..it's time...

:: The Jedi Master trips over a branch and falls over, stunned and battered by the sudden attack. He was so fouced on Mara's predicament, he walked striaght into a trap. His mind reeled as Lynch's words went through his head

What would you wife think?

It rattled him, confusing him. How... how? what?

Spitting blood and feeling the burns on him, he stumbles again, trying to reconnect himself to the Force, trying to be calm, but he couldn't. Seeing Mara against Venom, hearing mention of his wife... he just couldn't. Indeed, he had failed as this Sith had said...

All he could do was stare up at the flapping Sith ask

"How did you know?" The voice came out pleading, a scream from his soul. A raw wound was reopened as the Jedi slumped, unable to continue.....

*Staring at the Jedi the Sith can only begin to laugh then reaching his palm out towards him utters a single word*

Burn.

*DT is once more again assaulted by darkforce lightning smoke begins to rise from his clothing. With a gesture of his hand Lynch force throws DT across the yard into a wall with a sickening smack. Getting to his knees trying to stand the Jedi is drove down to the ground as Lynch again soars down driving his boot into DT's back knocking him to the ground pushing the Jedi Masters face sidwise into the mud*

How do I know......how do I know?

I know isn't that simple enough?

No...of course not....

You want to know?

I saw her body...

*Grabbing him by the neck DT's head is rammed repeatedly into the wall, with each thud of the Jedis skull hitting the wall his hair becomes alittle redder stained in his blood from a cut inflected by the damage. Taking one loose brick from the wall Lynch rams it into the Jedis face, each blow knocking more of the Jedis blood to the ground, his face awashed in crimsion red, knocking DT to the ground Lynch again drives the brick into the Jedi Masters face shattering his nose.*

What are you going to do.....save Mara? You didn't save your wife...did you? So what can you expect do do here and now with your precious Padawan...

*Grinning he picks up DT driving his knee into the light warriors chest followed by a elbow upon the back. Moving his left arm up he stretches out his wing clipping DT in the jaw knocking him flat against the wall*

Nice wings huh? You could say they are a engineering feat. New body as well, all made after I almost killed her before. You remember that don't you? Her lifeless body?

*Bringing up the other wing he catches DT against the face leaving a small scar. With his lightsaber hilt he begins to beat DT again and again not giving him a chance to recover knowing the torment his mind has been thrust into, a pain that the Sith can only smile at*

Dagobah

Yoghurt could not bear this anylonger. In a moment of deep injustice.. a moment of darkness, he had been sent into silence of the spirits. Far away from the physical world. He was part of the Force. Part of the energy field that surrounded everything.. binded the galaxies together. He once taught his students that we all were luminous beings.. and at one point.. if calm and in complete unity and understanding of the Force before the moment of death.. you would become one with it. You would become a spirit.. a being of light emerged from its shell. However, he would never imagine how lonely it could be on the outside.. to never be a part of the life you allways knew. To not be able to stop your friends from suffer.. to watch evil take place in the farthest corner in the Galaxy, and not be able to a thing about it. Furthermore, he could not smell, touch, see, hear or.. feel as he used to. All he could feel was desperation. Nothing were the same. It was painfull.

The Spirit in the Force turned and looked at a Gnarl Tree Butterfly flapping its wing as it hovered right in front of a flower. Not concerned with the past. No responsibility. No heavy burden. All that mattered was the present - to survive another day.

Perhaps that was the problem. He had been to busy thinking about the past; what could have been done, instead of thinking of the present and the future - what could be done.

The present and.. the future..

The blury image in the Force fainted slightly as the Jedi Spirit focused on the chaotic future. Allways in motion the future was.. cloudy.

He could see friends.. Boricua.. Figrin.. they were busy at the Jedi Temple.. debating Council procedures. And the old Sith Headquarters. Not much going on there, except.... a masked dark figure lurking in the shadows.. some kind of warrior. Right in cross of him, there was a woman. As she turned toward the tall dark warrior, her face was revealed. It was Mara. She looked frightened. The Force turmoiled around her.. and the warrior radiated pure darkness. The images shifted as in a speeded movie.. there was Darth Turbogeek. He was bleeding.. he was fighting someone.. another Dark Warrior.. but this one had wings. The clouds moved rapidly across the skies in the stormy night. The pale light of the moon broke through, white allmost blue colored, iluminating the face of Jedah Lynch as he smiled evily in triumph.

The Jedi Spirit focused to break through the clouds of the future, trying to see what would happen next.. Jedah Lynch would.. no!

The vision blured as a if a rock was thrown into the clear surface of water, creating ripples. The Jedi Spirit looked toward the butterfly again as the realization rushed through. It was time to forget the past and think of the present. It was time to make a difference. There was no fate. If there was one, it had to change.

The shimmering image of the Jedi Master disappeared he became a flowing motion in the Force. A tidewave traveling through the vast distances of space.. a chaos of light in all colors wizzed by as he travelled in some kind of tunnel.. at the end of the tunnel, there a just a bright white light..

*****

A minute later..

Outside the old Sith Headquarters - the gardens

A vortex of light swirls though the night, just a few meters from where Darth Turbogeek and Jedah Lynch fights in a struggle for life and death - a battle between the Dark and the Light. A 3 feet area in midair becomes less and less transparent, until the point of where the image of Master Yoghurt can be seen..
